Interesting how one of the previous reviews uses words like "family business," just what the owners of this company say when you call to complain... My experience was the same as many of the others who've posted. A sewage spill happened and I called. I was explicitly told "Don't phone your homeowner's insurance company! They will deny your claim. I have personally been using this company for over 10 years now. They have been to my home, my clients, my friends, and my families home's. They provide a very fast response and have sometimes waited more than 90 days to be paid. Jim and the company have been a great help with insurance claims and have always provided great work. If I would give negative stars this firm would get them. Sadly had the same sorry experience as west321 in Dec 2012. They do not want to give you a written estimate, give numerous reassurances that the insurance will pay for their work and then an outrageous bill - avoid this firm at all costs. Read More »

This is a shady company. I recommend using another company. They do not give you estimates up front, as they claim it will be billed to your insurance. Better make sure your insurance will pay. They bill for things they never mentioned, and over charge for ridiculous things, many of which were never used. They are dishonest and take advantage of people during emergencies. If you think the bill will be $1000, guess again, it will be 10 times more. Read More »

After doing research on this company on the BBB site and internet, I found that many customers had the same complaints. Jim is the guy who takes care of insurance claims, if you have spoke with him you will know who he is. He is very threatening, I had a leak here that was already dried out from equipment that I rented from Home deopt, I hired them to clean some mold. From start to finish California Restoration did a great job. I am a repeat customer and recommend them to people I know when they need help with water & mold damage situations. They are very helpful with the insurance claim process and were patient in waiting a few months to be paid for the work completed. Read More »

Avoid this company by any means..this is a big fraud company...lot of cases are going against them from my insurance company.. We had a emergency in terms of a water leak in my basement ( crawl space) and my plumber gave me california restorations number for water extraction. It was not a major leak.
