This company called me on my cell phone and threatened legal action for a supposed debt. Both these actions are against Federal law. And they don't even know if the debt is valid. I have never received one piece of correspondence from this company. When asked to validate debt, they replied that the court case was filed. These are scare tactics and completely unacceptable. I am not certain how anyone could write a positive review of this company. I moved out of a rented home and my landlord claimed I owed rent the to didn't and despite only sending me one notice, which I disputed, they sent my account to these Thugs. They sent me a notice with an amount on it that had no relation to any bill I had ever see and that didn't say what it was for, only that it was on behalf of my landlord. My company has utilized the services of Creditors Specialty Services on several occasions since 2005 for debt collection. They were able to collect the money owed to us in each and every case that we sent to them. The types of cases we sent to them ranged from customers writing us bad checks, to customers deciding not to pay for services we had provided to them (even though we had invoices and their signatures on the invoices authorizing us to do the work). I had a few past due accounts through a credit union that I was a member of. Then unfortunately I had lost my job. My credit union then after a while sent me to collections when I had stopped making payments on all of my accounts all together. Creditors Specialty Service helped me and worked with me when my budget was tight. Unfortunately, in my profession I have to use collection agencies on accounts that people leave with no regard. But, we are a family owned business and we in no way want to cause people strife, so we always ask that the collection agency representing us come to a "happy medium". This company and its employees are definitely SCUM, especially the so called owner/misrepresenting himself as an attorney Charles Stanley! I am a debtor and I believe they use trickery to get judgments against the debtors as well as trickery in paying their customers their fair share. The BBB definitely has a better report on them than they deserve. However, I'm not surprised because they are full of it too! I plan to find a way to put these people out of business someday.
