I had to go to the BBB to get my complaint resolved, which it isn't completely. Case # 20034567 Los Angeles BBB Basically I agree with all of these negative reviews, they are liars, they hold money needed to be refunded for not good reason (which is why I had to involve the BBB), they sweet talk you then stab you in the back. I would give this scam operation no stars if it were an option. They flat out lie and then verbally abuse you if you do not buy a car from them. Their cars are seriously overpriced and their model seems to be bait and switch. You will not find any cars on their website actually on their lot. Oh, and MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE BACK from the sales guy. Public Motors Orange County is a 100% scam. Don't waste your time. They bait with cars on cars dot com that don't exist. Out of 14 cars on cars dot com I researched NOT ONE was there on the lot last Sat. Salesmen says the ads run 72 hours behind the times. It’s now Wed- 96 hours , and the same bait cars are being advertised! Don't spend more that 5 bucks in gas to visit them. Read More »

Joe the service manager is an all around good honest guy. My car needed to be services and Joe assured me that my car would ne fixed and he stuck by his word. Dealing with Public MOtors has been a nightmare to end all nightmares. On 1-02-2011 I put a credit card depiosit on a vehicle in the amount of $4,718, the full quoted price of the vehicle, so my daughter could take it to a mechanic 2 days later for inspection with the understanding that the vehicle would have 90 days parts and labor warranty for anyrepairs that maybe needed if we purchased the vehicle after the inspection. I am very dissatisfied with this company for several reasons. I bought a car from them in October of 2009, thinking I had gotten a really good deal on a cute little car. I was impressed by their slogan "all cars have been safety inspected and smog certified". This was a REALLY fun experience; I live in San Diego and drove up to OC to go to the "Auction" at Public Motors OC after having bid on a car on-line (EBay)and receiving no response from PMOC other than an e-mail telling me that it was available and to "come on up" to make the deal. There is NO REAL Auction. They Have REserve prices on every vehicle which are retail prices.They will not sell them less than this. If the auction market Value Says 10,000 you can not buy the car for less than 6,000, which would be the retail value because the "Auction Market Value is not real." All Advertised prices are 30% less than the actual price that you can buy for. Public Motors is a false advertising company. They advertise cars online for decent prices and talk you into coming in to negotiate a deal. Yet, when you do go down there they claim that they sold the car earlier that day and try to get you to buy the same make and model car with 40,000 miles more on it for twice the price. Futhermore, they try to sell you another car by coming up with rediculous prices as "fair market value" and tell you they will take 40% off of that price so it sounds like... Read More »
