Purchased at a high-end charity auction in LA years ago. Rep said they could do it using photos as shipping the product would be over $500. Over a year ago, I sent them photos, and my original invoice showing I paid $8,000! I tried following up - their authentication team was very busy (every time) supposedly. They lost my records while implement... Read More »

Sydney P. posted a review

I sent in a Derek Jeter rookie card to be graded. I chose the express grading process. The length of time was ridiculous as I waited nearly 2 months to get my card back. When I opened the box, I was shocked to see not only did they not grade the card saying it didn't meet the minimum grade but it was a different card. The one I sent in was virtually flawless with 2 barely visible tiny scratches. The one they returned is so scratched it looks like it was placed on asphalt and run over with a c... Read More »

Zachary W. posted a review

PSA will not take responsibility if they damage your item. The New Jersey Civil Court, MID SC-001323015, Middlesex County, NJ in the case Kunz vs. PSA did rule that PSA was liable for the damage caused to a rare ticket that was submitted to PSA.

The Court ruled that while PSA held control and custody (bailment) of said ticket that the damage occurred.

This case can be used by future plaintiff's showing that PSA does damage items.

While PSA does claim "activity is captured on camera at all times and items are handled by highly trained pr... Read More »

Robert K. posted a review

I hand delivered 8 of my best unused signed tickets to PSA/DNA right to their offices. Ten weeks later, one of those tickets was severely damaged. A large 1/2 inch tear in one rare (POP 1 of 1) ticket, some black marking, and some indentations on this same ticket. Graded a PSA 3 due to the damage. PSA refused responsibility, and the only remedy of their part was to say I should have taken photos of the tickets in the presence of a PSA employee the day I dropped them off. And while I received decent service say 5 or 7 years ago -- its a very different story now. Here are my opinions... My biggest complaint (among many), is how useless
their service has become -- by way of worthless grades and damaged cards. I used to be disappointed with perhaps 20-25% of the grades that came back, and I was ok with that because I realize I can't have every grade go my way --- but now... Read More »

Joe M. posted a review

Sent in 3 Derek Jeter Rookies after Mr. Orlando stated they could be worth $33K Two had dings on the lower corner one was flawless...I used a lope to check. All three came back with dings on the corner...one was either damaged or swapped out. Will never
use them again...Not that I can because I was personally banded by Mr. Orlando, for voicing concerns about company practices. This company is shady at best and a downright criminal enterprise at worst. I became suspicious when a number of the cards I personally had from my childhood and personally purchased in the 1970's were not graded but I was charged. I had duplicates of some of the cards so was able to compare and noticed no difference in size or evidence of trimming.
Since I was the only owner of the card I knew this to not be true. So as an exper... Read More »

Jordan D. posted a review

In the beginning of December I sent my signed Ichiro Suzuki baseball to PSA/DNA in Newport Beach, CA.

I got the baseball back last week & the letter said "You submitted an Ichiro Suzuki signed baseball. After a thorough examination of your item did not pass PSA/DNA authentication.

I got the Ichiro ball when I went to Spring Training in March 2001, which was Ichiro's first year as a Mariner. He signed the ball & I was standing right in front of him.

They sent the ball back to me 2 months later with a letter telling me they could not authenticate it as it was a "clubhouse version." When I called PSA to find out why it wasn't authenticated, they told me that all 24 signatures on the ball were signed by bat boys or assistants. I know this is absolutely not true as my grandfather, who is still alive, had the team sign this ball in person back in 1957. I know for a fact they are genuine autographs. I have the pics of Ali signing then in 1986. The took 1 day to send them back as fakes. There are alot of fakes autos around by mine are definitely not. I wasn't even concerned about sending them my gloves because I know they are real. So imagine my surprise when the "leader in the industry" can't tell fact from fiction. I just received my authenticated Elizabeth Francis Taylor autograph today. I can't enough good things about PSA/DNA. The turnaround was fast. THey claim its between 10-20 business day (a full month). But I got mine back in less than 2 weeks! They ARE honest and follow through what they said they'd do. I got a beautiful COA with the PSA sticker/watermark on the certificate, EXACTLY as specified. Their customer service was VERY helpful and even walked me through... Read More »

Theo C. posted a review

There is nothing professional about this company except in the name. They regularly "lose" items sent to them according to BBB complaints, and the more valuable the item, the more likely it will get "lost." I sent them a batch of tickets and they "lost" the rarest and most valuable one. I had to negotiate with them to obtain a bunch of grading certificates to compensate me but I am still not happy especially after reading on the BBB website that this has happened to other customers as well.

I have found that this company and many other grading companies aren't regulated for fairness when they grade collector items. I have submitted alot of small orders and cross over items from other companies... Read More »
