Anyone is better than dealing with these guys! It's amazing how they work. And I've had loans off and on for 30 years. Their website and support are horrible. Their ability to track and appropriately credit anything is the worst I've seen. Reaching a person is near impossible. Trying their phone line will take you ten minutes of answering robo-call questions. The Kinecta Federal Credit Union branch in Rancho Cucamonga is now closed. It has been closed since February 2017. No notification was posted on their website. No notification was sent to my home. No recorded message on their local number! Nothing, nada, zip, zilch! Who does that! Nearest branch is Brea. Well, they gave me a reason to finally switch banks. Was in car wreck and car was totaled and told them my car insurance would pay majority of my loan and my gap insurance would pay off the rest. Was month past due and told them I wasnt going to continue pay my loan because cant drive my car and both car insuance companines would be off loan. I requested a loan modification application and stated to the customer service rep (Yolanda) that I am about to go through a seperation from my husband and I fear that we will not be ablt to continue making payments on our mortgages. I've been banking with Kinecta for over 20 years. I would give this bank a "zero" star if I could. They used to be a credit union with a high level of integrity, and truly watched out for the best interest of their members. Getting my mortgage through Kinecta Credit Union was one of the worst mistakes of my life. Theit customer service is horrible. Everytime you call, they give you the run around. When you go to the branch, the bank tellers never smile and always make you feel like they are doing you a favor. I just switched to Lockheed and boy am I happy now... Day and night difference. CD and loan rates are average to competative at best. Their customer service is amongst the worst that I have experienced. Most banks give courteous transfers between saving and checking, not Kinecta. If you are off by a penny, they will charge you a $25 fee and will not refund. Banker be ware! Read More »
