I took my car to this shop at West Washington Blvd to get the brakes inspected and repaired since the brakes were making constant squeeking noises. The workers there told me the noises were coming from the front brakes. They also told me that the rear brakes were not making noises and "has plenty of life left". After they finished and payed 177 DOLLARS for this repair, I went back home and test drove. The squeeking noises they were supposed to repair came back. What's worse, it was COMING FRO... i currently work for pepboys in, this has got to be one of the WORST companies i have ever worked for in my life. there are a few awesome tech's in the shop but the rest of them shouldnt be working on a pedal bike. never in my life have i seen more corners cut and so so so many customer complaints, its ridiculous. i will NEVER come to another pepboys after my time at this s*it hole, nor would i EVER EVER recommend anyone bring there vehicle to this company. they will overcharge, and under del... On Saturday 3/12/2011, I took my car to Pep Boys in La Habra, Ca (Corner of Euclid & Imperial Hwy), I asked them for a brake inspection and to let me see the brakes before they change them if necessary. I was told that it would be about 30 minutes before they could even get my car pulled in for inspection, so I left it with them as they said I could and went to have lunch with my wife. ahhhhhh.... took my BMW for a battery change and before they started to work on my car I asked them it they were certify to work on these type of cars but of course they said YES.. AHHHHHHHH drove off and according to them my car passed the alternator test and was good to go with my new battery. The next day going to work drove off and was left stranded. I'm back to there place now they are telling me that my alternator fail. My bill is adding up to $650+.. Read More »

DO NOT GO TO PEPBOYS FOR ANY AUTO REPAIR!! You will be very sorry.PEP boys sells their own brand of auto repair parts ALL of which are sub-standard made out of the worst materials possible and are DEFECTIVE! and they know it.Their warranty only provides for replacement of parts with the same defective parts.This company has been fined about 25 million dollars for breaking Ca. laws.dont believe me ask someone who has been there.there are thousands of horror stories about The Pep Boys. they bet... Look, I am rating them a three but bear in mind that sometimes you may need a second opinion. I have been a mechanic for most of my life and was a submarine mechanic; diesel instructor, air instructor, hydraulics instructor and a refrigeration mechanic and also worked as a hazmat coordinator and dealt with freshwater systems, pumps, valves and a number of other mechanic related components. I had a terrible experience with Pep Boys on Reseda Blvd this past Saturday. I had them put new struts on my car as well as align my car. They were having a deal, but I was a day late & Terrence did not tell me that the deal was going to expire in a day or so, so the Assistant Manager, William, honored it anyway (otherwise he knew I would take my business elsewhere that day). I took my car to the location in Anaheim Hills for new tires. They said it would be ready in an hour, which turned into 2 hours. The had supposedly road tested the car, but I doubt it. I drove away and the tires sounded loud on the road. The sound kept getting louder, like a flat tire. So I pulled over and inspected the tires, could see nothing. So I turned around and headed back. I had my brakes changed and turned out that one of my rotars was damaged. So I paid for a brand new rotar, brake pads and labor. My husband and I were there for 4 hours & the technicians were hiding my rotor and going back and forth to the main sales store next door. I asked if they resurface rotars. They said NO. Well finally I was so fed up with the run around I saw them hurrily wrap up a used rotar and stuck in a box.... Charging me for a brand new rotar. BS! I do not recommend any one get... Read More »

I have had a terrible experience with taking my vehicle to get serviced at Pep Boys in the last three months. I took in January of 2008 and according to them, the vehicle was ready. So, I paid 1600 dollars of which 1200 was for labor and the resting amount was on the parts replaced. Anyway, I asked them if the mechanic test drove and they answered yes.
