We got the same family owned sales pitch. We felt since we had initially arranged with the owner face-to-face, that the company would be more likely to honor its commitments. Nothing could be further from the truth. He had told us 2-5 days for the inter-state move. The crew that picked up our stuff had told us 2-6 days for the move. We engaged Southern California Moving (SCM) to pack and move the contents of our 3880 square foot home in Bonsall, California to West Linn, Oregon. My experience with Southern California Moving was extremely difficult. Our move was scheduled for 7/9/10. The day began with the movers showing up 3 hours late from their appointment. The moment they arrived, their driver exited the truck cursing and threatening to leave the job site as a result of him being tired and getting lost.
