I had a quote done for the safe step tub which Pat Boone has a commercial about. There was a man who came out and wrote a price on a piece of paper, no letterhead. Just the price. Came to $15,000 plus. Was not itemized as to what things cost like tub, labor, parts, etc. Said it would be 192.00 per month for about 7 to 8 years. Didn't even leave the piece of paper with us. I recently had a solar energy system installed Galkos Construction, Inc/GCI Energy. The installation was great and completed in one day. They took care of all of the paperwork, including permits, inspections, and rebates. The installation crew was very courteous, professional, and clean. We have been very satisfied with the service from GALKOS with the entire process for our solar installation. Our house is over 100 years old. We did not want panels on the roof that would detract from the historical integrity. That was the first challenge but Russ took that and the other challenges right in stride. Now the panels are located discretely on a garage roof next door and the only way you will know will be the meter spinning backward. I was very apprehensive when Bill Young came over to our house to give us the bill "sell" on the solar installation. However, Bill took the time to clearly explain the benefits of solar and with GALKOS' help made the the project affordable. We just had the solar installed and the meter was running backwards the first day I was allowed to flip the switch. I'm looking forward to years of lower energy bills. One thing that doesn't happen to me is a smooth transaction, dealing with Company's that work on my house. But dealing with Galkos, it was a great experience. From begining to the end. All staff was very professional, communicated well and completed their work on time and as specified. They were trustworthy and reliable. Overall, my family’s experience with GCI was really enjoyable. Excellent experience with this very knowledgeable and professionally run company. I had solar panels installed and have been completely satisfied with their service and follow-up. Advantages of solar panels were described without the "hard sell" that other companies use. Panels were installed in less than 2 days! (My neighbor's panels took over 2 weeks). We used Galkos Construction and CGI to install our solar system. The process was relatively easy and affordable. Our sales guy, Danny, was awesome and extremely helpful throughout the process as being a "point" person to get answers. The installation only took a couple of hours.
