Unfortunately, I tried to use Eros Tours and Travel Inc to book a flight. In addition, I purchased the travel insurance for the flight. When the confirmation email was sent to me, the dates were incorrect, that in itself is not a big deal. I called and was placed on hold for over 40 minutes. At that time I have a conference call and had to hang up. To their credit, they did call back 90 minutes later but I was still on my call. I have been buying Business Class Tickets from Eros Cheap Fare Guru. Site over 5 years. No other travel agent can match their price. Tickets are especially cheap if you are traveling to Asia from US. i BOOKED TICKETS AND MY aMEX CARD WAS DEBITED THE AMOUNT, THEN THEY ASKED TO VERIFY MY CARD WHICH I DID AND THEY ACCEPTED IN A REPLY TO ME, I THEN RECEIVED A NUMBER OF CONFLICTING MAILS TELLING ME THAT I NEEDED TO NOW SEND COPIES OF MY PASSPORT, FRONT AND BACK OF MY CREDIT CARD WHICH I DID AND IT WAS CONFIRMED. This company has most hard to get customer service....They put you on hold for interminable length of time....It seems it has got GOTCH U set up. I booked at ticket at an alarmingly low rate. I get an email stating, "We are unable to verify the card information. . . it is our company policy that the card holder should complete the following three step process to obtain E ticket confirmation." Among the three steps was to send them a copy of the front and back of my credit card, AND a COPY MY PASSPORT!!!! Book tickets for my father in-law call them to change date and put me on hold 45 minutes first time hang up called again agent answered told me to wait and someone will be helping me soon waited another 30 minutes hang up again. They are CRUEL. Due to my mother in laws health decline we had to bring the travel date to go 3 days earlier than book only ONE HOUR earlier.. They still charged us $425 excessive cancellation fee! I only wanted to change the flight date! The airline did not even have the booking on their computer at that time! They do not listen to the customer. If there were a negative star number I would have used that. They were SUPPOSED to have posted a small "dummy" charge to my account to verify ownership of the account before taking the actual ticket amount. Problem is, there was never any dummy charge, and when asked, they said that it was made the same day as the ticket charge (so much for the "security" lie). We booked a ticket from Eros online (at Last Minute Air Tkt), and they phoned immediately to say the credit card wasn't working. That seemed strange to us. When we phoned the credit card company to see what the problem was, they said that Eros had been phoning them, claiming to be us, and trying to charge all sorts of things. There is a very good reason for this company's F rating from the BBB. They are a bait and switch operation. Their website advertises airline rates that they can't sell. They lure customers to call and then sell tickets for more money. Even after you think the deal is complete, they will call back and raise the price again. Don't use this company. Read More »
