as a senior citizen who served my country in the war I have been abused and disrespected by the Customers Service people at AHFC.. Similar to others, I have had nothing but trouble for four months trying to get payments credited to my account. The first and second payment were made at the dealer's before the booklet came, and Honda Finance denied receiving the second payment from the dealer. It took a month to sort out, during which time I had to make an extra payment, so that they do not post it to my credit. Eventually, it got resolved after many phone calls. Company personnel have no License and are running scam Loans. A typical Post Office Box Company with poor service and total incompetence. Drawn in by their Advertising of Zero Percent Loans for 5 Years (this is impossible to get 0.00 unless there is just a single payment at the end of 5 years). I will NEVER EVER do business with Honda finance ever again! I had a 4yr contract with Honda and I was aware that I was still behind $1,210 in late fee's after paying my actual loan. Be advised; if you make a payment by easy pay and it is after 6 PM Honda will report you over 30 days late if you double up on payments. MY credit report is perfect except for Honda Finance. They do not notify you if there is an amount pending that they have added as a percentage as a late fee. DH Read More »

I bought my Honda Accord brand new and financed with Honda Financial Services. My Honda lease expires July 4, 2012..thankfully. I have been receiving two phone calls a day from their inspection company SGS for over a month now. Some with messages, some are just hang ups. I finally called them today to set an appointment for the inspection. My problem is that Honda Finance requires an inspection even if you are going to trade the car in. I will never do busy with this company EVER again. I'm paying off my loan this month and they have tacked on $90 of late fees that they will not remove at all to help me pay. Their reason: We have reversed late fees for you before. Really??!! I'm in the account field myself and if I have a customer who is paying off an account we will waive late fees. I've been with honda financial for about 3 years since 2009. I fell behind 1 month and had advised them in advance of the difficulties I was experiencing after agreeing to extend the payment for that grace period they started harassing me daily. I think they should better their systems and procedures so they all communicate and know the status of each persons accounts to avoid this problem, because unless I kept each person up to date I think they would of repo if not. I've never had a problem with this company until this month. Customer service rep has notified me of 2 payments they haven't rec'd since December. I let them know that I have been a good customer for 4 years and have been sending payments out timely. All of sudden they're calling me and telling me that they haven't rec'd anything. I made a payment nearly 2 weeks via online submittal for $3700 as we are paying off debt. The next day I check my vehicle statement and see that a single transaction in the amount of $3700 was processed. I later check my bank account and found that (2) separate transactions in the amount of $3700 were processed. With only 6 months left to pay for my 05 Civic, AHFC repo'd me! After calling them before I even got behind, they always told me that there was nothing they could do. If you are the finance company, how is there nothing you could do? I feel they take advantage of people and don't work with you at all. I have read the other scathing reviews here, and I feel your pain. I was checking my credit score and noticed it dropped by almost 60 points. That's pretty significant. So, I looked to see who was reporting negatively, and low and behold it was our wonderful AHFC. I bought my vehicle in Connecticut and re-registered it in Washington State. I strongly urge anyone reading this review not to deal with Honda Financial in terms of business. Whether its financing or leasing. They cheat the customer and don't provide them with the entire truth. They are quick to take your money but if you do end up in a sitution that needs assistance, they will not assist you at all. My wife got approved for a loan, and we purchase a motorcycle that I have diligently make payments for 3 years and never been late. I contacted AHFC to refinance the loan because I got laid-off. And they won't do it. I have refinance a vehicle in the past with no problem, but AHFC refused to do it. I purchased my Honda in 06. I was financed through AHFC at a ridiculous double digit percentage rate. I was a first time buyer, a young girl, and the salesman took advantage of that.
