This is an absolute scam. They called to confirm the order, which I thought was weird, but whatever. They lied to me about what my boss ordered and what should have been a $25 order ended up being well over $200. They also lied to me about what we needed. I ordered a very simple poster for labor laws, which is all that I require. Instead of processing my order they called me to ask all sorts of intrusive questions that were none of their business. As a small business I felt the need to have the minimum required postings at our office. I received our initial poster and signed up this year for the upgrade at $38. Which is more than what they quoted me to begin with. They have called multiple times a week for the past 2 months telling me that I didn't order enough to meet the minimum requirements. I thought they were a great way for our small business to stay in compliance, was I ever wrong. This company is the most underhanded business I have ever dealt with. When I ordered a $21 labor law poster, they suggested I purchase their $275 compliance package. I said to send over an estimate and I would look at it. Instead they shipped out the order and emailed an invoice the next day. I would not recommend this company at all. They sent me a program I did not order, want or need. Then they refused to send me a packing slip to return it. Multiple phone calls and emails later and after threatening to file a BBB complaint they "comped" my account. I also told them to remove me from thier call list. Apparently they've been doing this for some time, targeting random individuals in a company or institution to send threatening letters designed to look like government mailings. Horrible. Had crooks deal with me like this in 2007. We were receiving mail and more mail for quite some time, so I decided to order the $10. minimum unlaminated poster from them. Couple of days after, they contacted my business partner and tried scaring him into ordering "ALL" he would need to "keep" him "safe" from the government. He listened but did not authorize anything. I purchased the basic poster package State/Fed combo. As many others have said, I received a call a few days later stating I NEED additional posters to be compliant (with added scare tactics). I went on maternity leave and came back and ordered the HIPPA and ACA posters. Received a call the next day stating I need to order additional HIPPA and I-9 posters. This company is horrible to deal with. There are the endless emails, letters and phone calls to start with. Every person I spoke with on every level were extremely rude. I spoke with someone to take me off their list and not send anything to me. They sent me a compliance poster and charged me for the poster and the shipping. Why is the lowest rating on here 1 star? They don't deserve even a portion of a star. Do not use this company to obtain or even shop around for labor compliance posters. I will be reporting them to my State's Attorney's office. They are nothing but time and money leaches. How do the owners sleep? Probably with the devil. Don't even talk to them!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!! Personnel Concepts is a complete nightmare of a company. We constantly receive letters from them the look quite similar to documents and materials sent by the IRS. This company uses intimidation tactics in addition to misleading information to try and push their product. Both verbal and written correspondences to remove us from their database have been ignored. Personnel Concepts is a company profiting on pure lies. They use scare tactics and lies to sell their posters. They tell people that they need additional posters such as the HIPPA and IRS notices that are not required just to get extra money from you. I have been a PC customer for several years now. The price keeps going up. This year the sales guy called for a renewal. The price was about $160. I questioned him and he assured me that I needed everything. When the order arrived I opened the tube and went to the CA Labor Dept website to look for postings that are required. For anyone who has not dealt with this company, there's only a couple things you need to know: 1. This company attracts customers by undercutting everyone else on their basic poster, but then uses multiple techniques for "selling up" so that you go from buying a $20 poster to buying $200-$300 worth of extras. 2. I wish I would have read the other reviews before dealing with this company. I fully agree with all of them. I took over as manager of a non-profit organization after our previous manager died. I asked to be removed from the mailing list last month (after I made an attempt to be removed online) and I’m still receiving mailings from their company. We received a letter in the mail that looked strikingly similar to documents and materials sent by the IRS. They even used the numbers 2010 in a very similar manner as the IRS does when referencing the 1040 year. The mail piece cited quite a few federal laws and fines that, when taken out of context, are intimidating. I found this company to be misleading in their claims. I ordered a year long subscription which meant that when a law change went into effect they would send me the compliant posters. What really happened was that I continued to receive additional invoices for these posters. Also on their mailings and emails they lead you to believe that all these are necessary.
