I've moved several times in my life and can honestly say that this was the most pleasant experience with an event usually accompanied by major stress. I just moved my daughter from Los angeles to be closer to me in Pebble Beach California and between us, we couldn't be more pleased. Here is the update on my recent moving experience…Beverly Hills transfer/Allied were terrific. The driver called me a couple of days before pickup. We had to do the pickup on 2 consecutive days as there were 2 houses. Truck drivers name was Albert Smith. He was fantastic. Courteous, hardworking and he tracked every box & package in detail. we used beverly hills transfer for a move from los angeles to boulder 4 years ago. i wish i could use them again for our move to minnesota. our agent was barry eisen. he gave us the best estimate (we got a "not to exceed") and his estimate was right on the money. he also gave us all the boxes we needed for free, even though we were packing ourselves. it was a pleasure dealing with him. there was drama on the day of departure, when…our original driver had thrown his back out at another load... Uriel was very helpful and prompt about returning my calls. My mother-in-law met with three reps from different companies and commented that Uriel was the most knowledgeable and professional. John Crouch and his helper (sorry, don't remember his name) did a great job with our move. They packed our things exceptionally carefully and I only lost a few glasses (probably because I didn't wrap them well). Joe was professional in every respect. He was knowledgeable and provided us the best customer service. He returned calls promptly and was always prepared to answer any questions. The guys that helped us move were the best. They helped us so much. They were very careful with our stuff and got everything into the truck in a swift manner. I just completed an excellent move with Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage. My husband and I moved across the country from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and could not have been more pleased with our experience. The pack up in Brooklyn went incredibly smoothly and the unload in Los Angeles was quick and easy! I didn't have a good experience with this company during or after my move. I was ripped off both by the amount of money I spent and the time it took for my belongings to arrive. It is true that after they have your money, it is nearly impossible to get a response from anyone, via email or telephone. I had a good experience with my move. The salesperson was on time for the survey(didnt smell like smoke) and the cost was decent, I guess I would have liked it cheaper but Beverly Hills Hills Transfer has a great name in my neighborhood and I thought of their reputation and decided to go with them. Mover BEWARE! I used Beverly Hills Transfer and Storage company for my move. BIG MISTAKE! They low balled the estimate, the movers smoked, The salesman smoked, my things smelled like smoke after the move! My items arrived significantly late, and no one seemed to care. First they required full payment in advance for the not to exceed price with the understanding that the final price would be based on actual time spent. Fine... The relationship started out well with friendly people. The quote was high, but we were reassured that this was a premium moving and storage company. The company has a good system of keeping furniture stored in container units which isolate each customer's furniture.
