In 2012 I moved to L.A and I had to go to the hospital 2 different times. My bills went to collections and when I moved back to the bay area in 2013 (only 4 months after both medical bills) I immediately went to pay off my medical bills. I was told all I had to pay was $464 for BOTH visits due to child's medical.I was assured by both the person on my case her manager that was the only thing I owed. I was scheduled to have 25% of wages garnished and I called to work out the amount and they worked with me some :( .... But requested a $400 dollar deposit.. With the pay schedule and my bills i submitted monthly shows i can afford it all.... if i dont pay a deposit they are saying they will revise the garnishment and take almost 400 a check. OMG that will leave me and my son homeless.. Is this leagal to ask for a deposit even if they are taking 250 a month????? HELP what can i do regarding t... Read More »

I am guessing California Business Bureau, Inc. has two different addresses. I have been trying to pay a debt through: California Business Bureau, Inc. 4542 Ruffner St. suite 160 P.O. Box 710340 San Diego, CA 92171-0340 (858)492-1515 I just recently received a bill from them dated back to 7/2008 (a hospital stay from 7/29/2008 - 8/2/2008). A bill I had no idea I even owed. I have been trying to resolve my medical bill. They were understanding at first, while I tried to get the amount re-billed (re-coded) by the doctor. I finally found that I was responsible for the amount. I called to arrange payments today (10/15/10) We went over my finances, and they said that I was not allowed to make payments because we still had too much money left per month. California Business Bureau employee Ben Brown has been very difficult to work with. I called on 4/12/2010 and "tried" to pay the amount shown on my credit report but he would not accept the payment that is stated, he wanted to charge me $35.00 more than what is owed. I was treated with disrespect and all I wanted to do was to pay what I owe.
