Used to live in Chatsworth and just purchased a house in Reseda, CA. Who would've thought moving is easy. Recently moved from Granada Hills, CA to Dallas, TX. Moving experience with Camel Moving was great. All household items were packed neatly and was placed carefully. Communication with the customer service was also good. I'm a single mom and moving to a new place is not an easy job. I'm glad that I called Camel Moving (recommended by a friend). My review would be 5 stars for the guys that came if it was not for being short a guy (2 instead of 3) on the first day to pack and arriving 3 hours late on moving day (due to the brakes going out in the AM). None of my things were lost or damaged and I have a LOT of THINGS! The 3 men were very efficient and worked from 11:30 AM on moving day until 12:30 AM. I BOOKED A MOVE WITH LAURIE AFTER I GOT HER INFO FROM A FRIEND AT THE CARABELLA APTS IN WOODLAND HILLS. THE MOVERS WERE ABOUT 1 AND A HALF HOURS LATE AND I WAS PUT OFF BY SOME GUY NAMED JOE WHO REFUSED TO TALK TO ME ON THE PHONE. BUT, ANYWAY, I DID THE MOVE WITH THEM ANYHOW AND IT DOUBLED IN PRICE. I AM ALSO MISSING A FEW ITEMS. CALLED THEM A FEW TIMES ABOUT IT BUT NO RESULTS. I am taking time to write a review for this company as I just had an amazing move with Camel Moving. The office staff was courteous and answered all of my questions whenever I called the office. The movers were extremely professional, polite, arrived on time and were very careful with my belongings. These guys are terrible! The arrived 6 days late to pick up my stuff. When they finally arrived, their truck was covered in graffiti. They took way too long to load my stuff, and one of the workers was sitting on my couch chatting on the phone for half an hour! When they arrived to drop of my stuff, they came at 10:15pm and refused to return the next day. My husband and I hired this company to do our move last month. The movers were over an hour late. They damaged several of our electronics by yanking on the electrical cords. They chipped our coffee table bringing it into the house. We had a hard time communicating with the movers because they didn't speak much english. I have used camel moving and storage in september of 2007. this is my second move with this company and i would reccomend them to everyone. the service was impacable. the movers were the kindest and the most proffesional i have ever used. their rates were may have been a bit higher than other companies but i will never hesitate to use them again as it was worth every penny spent.
