Scam Alert!! I never signed up for a trial of any kind. I am not even sure how this mystery company acquired my cc info. I saw 3 charges for $59.95 on my account titled "PEI Coach Network" and called the number. Evidently they help people find foreclosure homes. I have no need for this service. SCAM ! SCAM ! SCAM ! They will never stop charging you for your credit card ! i had to cancel one of my cards so the charges would stop ! Even when they called me to check on my account and if i would like to renew i would say no ! to cancel the membership and there it was again at the end of the month. Signed up for 7-day free trial; canceled on 6th day. Email notices of new foreclosure events ceased to arrive thereafter. Review of credit charges two weeks later showed billing for $59.95 anyway. I was billed by RealtyTrac for one month fee of $49.99 on July 8th. On July 14th, a RealtyTrac representative called me to ask if I want to purchase a 3-month package at $149.99 and get another 3 months for free. So I said: "No. Thank you. RealtyTrac.com is misrepresenting their business before collecting and selling users' personal information with little recourse to opt out of their system. I am looking for a new home and was browsing the Trulia.com website. I wanted more information about a foreclosure property listing and was redirected to a RealtyTrac.com registration page. I signed up for the 'Free' Trail to review one property and remembered to cancel prior to their 30 day time period, per their terms and conditions, fax number provided in terms & conditions. I even received a fax transmittal confirming receipt. The next month, and 4 consecutive months thereafter, I continued to be charged $49.95 for their services. I was a customer of RealtyTrac since 2008. Their rep contacted me in August 2009 to renew the service, and I specifically told him that I would not renew. He offered me a discount if I renewed, but I repeated to him that I would not renew. I maintained a log of this phone call in my contact management system so I knew the time, date, person and subject matter discussed. Realtytrac.com IS A SCAM!! DO NOT SIGN UP!!! I signed up for the free 7 day trial and canceled my membership 4 days later. Well, realtytrac.com gave my credit card info to realestatepromoter.com, who has been debiting my checking account for $49.95 every month for the last 3 months. I just want to thank everyone for the reviews they gave about Realty Trac because I have been looking up home prices through Front Door. com but almost all homes fall under Realty Trac. TRIAL USERS BEWARE!!! NOT VERY ACCURATE INFO> COMPANY!!! Wow, I should have come here first before I took the free trail from Realty Trac. I signed up for the free trial 5 days ago. The very next day I sgned up I started my search. I was looking for a 4 - 5 bd and at least 2000 sq ft home in San Jose or Milpitas, CA. I found a listing on a home that was REO (or so it states on the web). RealtyTrac was brought to my attention last week when a couple came by my house to inquire about the listing they found on RealtyTrac. I looked up the listing on their website and there it was, with a nice aerial view of my property. The problem is my house is NOT " bank owned" nor has it been foreclosed on. Wow, I went to bbb.org and discovered today that I am not the first one who complain about this website... 1. Me and my wife was looking for a 2,000+ sq ft house and we discovered that they have included the sq ft of the unfinished basement which is a non-livable space! 2. This company's business practices need improvement. While it entices you to sign up with a free trial period, the time for notification to cancel is less than the trial period stated. I ended up paying for a month's subscription since I only got computerized responses via e-mails. Then I got charged for a Foreclosure Report that I had not agreed to pay for.
