We had an amazing experience working with MaKenzi Gennette and College Works Painting last summer. MaKenzi was fantastic! She walked us through the entire process and kept in touch with us before, during and after the paint job. I hired Joe Leonard and his crew from College Works to paint all the trim and window frames on my home. I was extremely pleased with their work. They showed up early in the morning every day, and they were very polite and professional. They did a really nice job painting and leaning up after. We hired College Works to paint our front stairs in Reading, MA. The stairs were in really bad shape. Ryan our painter sanded, repaired and repainted the steps and railings and they look brand new. I had solicited quotes from a number of contractors/painters in the Flagstaff and Prescott, Arizona, areas. College Works came in the lowest for total value (painting, prep work, and customer service). The main point of contact, Bryan, was very attentive and worked diligently to make sure the colors worked and the actual work done correctly. I am pleased with the outcome. The paint job (when they finally did it, was very well done). The communication was very poor. We had to keep calling them to see when our paint job would be done. You would think the company would call the customer to keep them up to date about what's going on. That didn't happen in our case. Very frustrating. I was skeptical about having my house spray painted instead of using a brush. Coming from the "Old School", everything was painted with a brush. I did the internship in 2012 and ran just over 50 thousand dollar business. I am currently a 2nd year intern and a student at Columbus State running my business in Westerville. I would recommend this program to anyone who is looking for leadership experience and or business skills. My son worked for Collage Works Painting this summer in Gahanna, Ohio. He only worked for them for a few weeks as the student they had in charge was very disorganized. Getting paid seemed to be a real issue. From what I can tell, his hours were not correctly tracked and I am not sure he ever got what was promised. I AM AN EX EMPLOYEE of CWP. They are essentially hiring college kids to do $5000 paint jobs when they have never painted before. Avoid them at all costs. They train you how to sell really high and reward people who make sales. Kids are encouraged to over charge things and still make sales using their social skills. Hired College Works Painting of Irvine CA to paint the outside of my house. What a mistake. I now have more damage and work to do to fix what they messed up.
