I called their main number at 310-280-4000 several times at different times of the day but no one answers. I was trying to escalate a complaint to their legal department due to an issue with Avvo.com, their subsidiary. I decided to call the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint with them.

I joined and seeing a post about a product that I had just purchased and was very happy with answered the post.. Then the emails started asking me more questions..6 total and with each I answered. Their company, during 2009 continued to sell products that they knew full well they were discontinuing (in some cases giving away for free) at the end of the year, and even attacked their customers via their own forums when called on it.

Case in point:
For a few years, vBulletin has had a "blog" addon, available for it's mainproduct. As of 2009, this was not developed any further, and they knew this in Q1. Originally, they told me and the BBB that they don't offer refunds, but visits to the company's vBulletin License Member Forum prove that they do give refunds, but it does take work. Internet Brands also won't admit to the numerous bugs in their vBulletin 4.0 Suite, but over 100 "Severity... Read More »

Michael k. posted a review

I feel mistrust and abuse.

I had been a long term customer for several years of Jelsoft the company that was purchased by internet brands. I signed up when I could get free updates for their software while paid the support fee of $40 in their old terms of service. With recent emails I am pressured to sign up for and purchase their current offering that would involve a discount at the current time but would lock me into a price structure that I would not be able to pay with the current pric... Read More »

Jagermeister posted a review

I have only had dealings with this company through their vBulletin division, I have been left disillusioned by their handling of a recent upgrade to their software, they gave very little notice of an upgrade time frame, which has been set at two weeks, their product is only just been put into beta testing, and unless you upgrade in a leap of faith, the price literally doubles in price.

Internet Brands are not customer friendly, they are basically putting tens of thousands of customers in lim... Read More »
