They're absolutely awful. They completely screwed my credit because of the way they set up their operations. For 9 months, they sent me a monthly statement showing that my payment was received (I used autopay), then on the 9th month they reversed all of them and immediately sent my account to collections without bothering to contact me. Horrible lack of service from both Customer Service AND Lease End Dept, who don't communicate OR have access to their respective systems. And the Titles Dept, who is inaccessible to both customers AND the other two departments. I had to go through Kia Motors Finance to get 4k off the sticker price. My first payment, I paid off the loan. I keep calling to get them to release my title, I get transferred all over the place then someone hangs up. I'm going to be moving to another state so I need to get this done. They are the most incompetent & worthless financial company I've ever dealt with. They should just create another company in it's place and transition the loans over. Read More »

Kia has said it is because of a upgrade on their system in March is why they are having problems posting payments. I payed June payment May 20th online. It cleared my bank on the 22nd. When I look at payment history is shows it there but not placed on principal and interest. This happened to me in May to but when I received a email saying my payment was late I was shocked then when I looked at my payment history I seen the payment was never moved over to principal and interest. Kia Finance is a joke! They do not want to help anyone in this crisis! I lost my job and they refuse to help! I sent them 4 emails because you could not get through to them on the phone. I had a 2017 Kia that was totaled in March 2020. I went out in haste and purchased a 2020 Kia as time was limited to resolve my issue due to the COVID lockdowns. The crash was not my fault and my insurance company has contacted Kia multiple times to get them the payoff check. In addition I had GAP insurance, so they will get the full payoff. I am a disable veteran and receive disability. During this virus my wife has lost her job and this has put us in a financial difficulty. I have contacted KIA and was told if I paid 2 months they would deferred 2 months. Well I did not pay my mortgage and paid the 2 months. Now KIA is stating they can only put 1 month in deferment. Kia Motor Finance as the worst customer service ever. My issue started on Jan 1st, 2020. I made a car payment on Jan 1st forgetting that the month prior (December 2019) I setup autopay to take the payment out of my checking account on the 2nd of every month. I was a part of the engine recall for my 2014 KIA Optima. I was given a new engine for free, which was great. But, I feel the Dealership tried to sabotage it. I am a single female and don't know a whole lot about cars and always depend or the dealership to be fair and advise what I need. I leased a Soul through KMF and was 2 months ahead on my payments. My wife was in an accident and totaled the vehicle. She was not at fault and Progressive handled the claim. That's where the problems started. Kia would not talk to the insurance company. I had to play mediator between Progressive and Kia. If I could rate negative stars I would. I like to think I'm a very patient person when it comes to customer service because I've worked in customer service and understand that the situation isn't always what it seems, however, this was ridiculous. I moved state and requested a title transfer of my Kia minivan (partially financed through Kia Motors Finance) from Pennsylvania to New York.Over a month after I first contacted them, Kia Motors Finance tells me that they need three more weeks to "process" the PA title before they can send it to New York. Bought 2016 Soul in Sept 2016 in Mar 2017 rcvd 4K worth of hail damage. Because I financed thru the KIA Financial group the check was made to both of us. Decided to go to the KIA BODY SHOP for repairs. What a freaking joke! I advise you NOT to finance a car through Kia. They are lazy at their jobs and do not care to help customers. They screwed me over on shipping my car from Hawaii to the mainland after I started the process over a month in advance. They could never accurately tell me what files I needed, lost them in the fax process, wouldn't offer me a email to scan them too, and tons of other issues. I would give them zero stars if that were an option. They mistyped my address and my husband's name on some paperwork. When I called to get this fixed, I was able to get the address corrected but they refused to spell my husband's last name correctly unless they talked to him personally even though they have the leasing paperwork right in front of them and can see that his last name and mine are the same. Made my June Payment via my bank on 6/1. No check cashed. Repaid June 20 when I got a late notice using the Kia Website, no payment received. Paid June bill a third time, using the Kia Website, payment confirmed, money taken from my account but no credit given by Kia. Kia Motors refuses to help me. My wife has a 50% chance of living and they would not take any late fees off. They said to protect my wife they would need to speak with her I told them that she could not speak to them that she was in a comma. They still refused to take the late fees off. About 6 months ago I purchased a KIA. I really like the car but their finance operation is a joke. After three months they stopped sending me bills and then when I was late charged me interest and harassed me on the phone. Before I made my final payment to pay car off EARLY, I called Kia to find out the best way to get the title the fastest. I have had my Kia financed through this company for more than two years and have never had a single issue with them. I send my payments ten days before the due date and it normally posts within five. They have never once called me for any reason. Apparently all you have to do is honor your end of the bargain by making your payments in a timely manner, and they leave you alone. Started calling claiming we didn't make a payment. We had the confirmation number that payment was made, but they tried telling us that didn't mean anything. Then they proceeded to tell us that the payment was not accepted even though I was looking at the bank account at the time balancing the check book and saw no evidence that the payment was sent back. These folks start calling less than 12 hours after the payment is due.The calls start at 7:51 AM and do not stop until 9:05 PM. You make agreements with them and they agree to stop harassing you, but they do not, the calls keep coming seven days a week. From October 25, 2011 till Presidents day weekend 2012 the calls came night and day (571 calls in all). Kia Motor Finance the customer service is horrible. The billing is criminal they reserve their own math formula which they apply to your payments.
