I had a flat tire (rear tire with 75% tread left on a Plymouth minivan). I immediately stopped on the side of the road and replaced it with my spare. I took the flat to the closest shop which was Calabasas Car Care. They looked at the tire for all of literally 3 seconds with a battery powered flashlight (I was never more that 3 feet away from the tire at any time), claimed the tire was damaged "beyond repair", and would not even re-inflate the tire to check for a leak.
