We had Signature Design Center do a major kitchen & first floor renovation project for our new home. They removed two load-bearing walls, replaced a window, removed 4 rooms worth of mismatched tile and replaced it with hardwood, installed cabinets, counter tops,a back splash, and appliances, did all the plumbing and electrical work, and managed all of the engineering work, inspections, and all of the work which was in house. My wife and I recently completed a kitchen remodel with Signature Design Center and I had a really good and painless experience. We had gone to several different places and had gotten about 5-6 other quotes and we decided to go with Fred and Signature Design. Poor workmanship, short cuts, and lack of adequate over sight lead to many returns to correct mistakes or improve quality of work. As home owner, had to perform quality control. Some electrical work non-code. One tile flooring required redone due to my not being bilingual when instructions given to worker. Hard wood flooring damaged by heavy tub dropped during demo. My wife and I recently remodeled two bathrooms and we started by calling several companies and had a few people come and see our project, after comparing the bids we got we trusted Signature Design with our complete bathrooms remodel and we are soo happy with the end result. Minus points if it was possible. PLEASE PLEASE steer away from this company!!! Poor organization, lack of communication with the client and amongst their own staff (blaming each other and never themselves when something goes wrong), AWFUL craftsmanship (getting things done the shortcut way, instead of the right way) to save money, apprentice work, always late or delayed to EVERY appointment. I never post comment but I felt in this case it was justified. When it came to remodeling our Master bath, we decided to get a bid from Signature. Since their quote was quite a bit cheaper, we decided to try them. I have to say we regret it. In the end the work was OK, but job management was horrible. Run Away! You’ll be so sick and tired of these people before they’re done with your project that you’ll let poor craftsmanship slide to maintain your sanity. I hired them based on a recommendation that they would address any problems. Little did I know the workmanship would be so mediocre that the list of mistakes and oversights would grow and grow – to where I grew weary and settle for less than professional just so they didn’t compound a problem. My experience with Signature Design Center for a bathroom remodel was not good. They took 8 weeks to complete what should have been a 3-4 week project and the quality of workmanship was not to my expected standards. I subsequently had Mr. Cabinet Care complete a kitchen remodel for me and the level of business dealings and quality of product and service and adherence to schedule was far superior to that performed by Signature Design. After MANY months of research we decided to have Signature Design do our remodel. They provided a quote and the details were laid out up front, never any surprises. We had braced ourselves to prepare for the long lead times but were quite pleased that our kitchen was completed in 5 weeks. It would have been quicker, but we had them replace our entire inground plumbing, bringing them into the walls and between our floors. This was done quickly and efficiently. I've been working with Fred and his team for years now. Never had a complaint, although Fred's wife doesn't make her famous sweets for me anymore, but I digress. What Signature offers is a family environment and immediate accountability. If you have a problem, they will get it done right. Which in construction, small problems occur all the time. After I saw the last negative review about Signature design Center, I didn’t feel very satisfied about it because we need to save and keep good companies. Signature Design Center did number of projects for me and I haven’t seen anything, but professionalism, they are on time and have creative designs. Believe me I did no less than 6 project last year.
