I wish I had seen the reviews for this company before I sent my smartphones. They cost $300 each, and I had no intention of donating them. I received a message saying they were in excellent shape, but the amount shown for my phones was $0.00. I tried calling to no avail, and my emails are returned as "undeliverable" and/or I get no reply. I want my phones back, so I've filed a complaint with BBB. These people are crooks I sent four phones in order to help a youth group raise money for a missions project, we had several phones that had been donated and ran a trail run with these people were quoted a price of 85.00 for all the phones only to receive nothing, when we contacted them and asked for our phones to be returned there was 20.00 fee each to return them. I sent an old blackberry curve to this company as I upgraded my phone. As I don't live in CA I posted the phone. The phone was fully functional, has good battery, takes pictures and very good for normal usage. It had regular wear and tear with some scratches. They cancelled the payment saying that appearance needs to be like brand new for the payment. If you are planning to sell your old phone I would certainly not recommend this company. My HTC Thunderbolt gained a 'near perfect rating' from Simple Sellular and garnered the full $51.00 max buy price. Their check arrived soon after the start of the month and, apparently, the start of their 'check writing cycle'. this company is a con. they advertise a price then when they get your phone then tell you it is overly worn and simply send you a check for 30-40% of what was advertized and agreed. they send the money to your pay pal account minus the 70% of what was promised and call it a day. if you complain they tell you to send them a self addressed box so they can ship it back to you which is obviously a ploy for you to give up. never use this company- they are theives and hide behind the vail of the i... I was not originally supposed to get back very much off of the phones I sent, but they still managed to weasel their way out of paying what they advertised by telling me that one had water damage as indicated by a discolored sticker on the battery and the other one was faded and had scratches. Just got their email saying they are unable to pay me for my phone (of course after I already sent it to them) because the vibrate function on the phone doesn't work?! It vibrated when I turned it off to send to them!! I sent this company a 4G device, was quoted $98, after they received it they offered me $48. Then the run around begun, they stated 2 different dates that a check was mailed. One was Aug 11th and then Aug 14th. No check ever showed up, After calling several times, was "promised" Paypal payment. That date came and went and still no payment. I wish I had found this info before I sent my phones. Older pohones but in good shape. Quoted 2 different prices on the net the day I placed order so I emailed to ask them which was correct. They say you get $70 per phone we sent then for two samsung charges, then they get them and offer you $35 dollars due to color fade, and worn out and poor cosmetic looks. Funny they dont tell you that if you dont agree, you pay to have them back. Me and my brothers sent them three perfectly working and in good condition phones and they sent us back and email saying the touchscreen is unresponsive or it has extensive damage. Then when ask for them to send it back they want ten dollars for every two phones, or they can "recycle" it for you for free. Please take note of all of these warnings and do not do business with Simply Sellular. This is a scam. They may offer the highest price for your used cell phone but they do not pay. They state my "F" key is missing even though I know for a fact that is not the case. They then want you to pay to return the item to you. The ploy here is straightforward: they tell you on their website what they will reimburse you for old equipment. You then send it to them. They write back weeks later -- once the phones are no longer in your possession -- to tell you about some mysterious damage that these phones purportedly have. I got the so called "water damage" rejection, too. It's just a way for them to collect cell phones and get money for parts or more. The decision was completely arbitrary. I mailed them my Droid, in pretty good shape and unfortunately got the email that it had water damage after the "2 days to respond" so I have no recourse. Bad business Simply Sellular!!!! Man, I wish I had read these posts BEFORE I sent 9 old cell phones to Simply Sellular. DONT SEND ANYTHING TO THEM - IT'S A SCAM!! If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Do NOT turn your used phone over to this company. Something will "happen" to it between leaving your house and them receiving it. Simple 1-2-3 process? Yeah, right. For a church fundraiser we gathered phones for 5 months. I sent a 20+ lb box of phones, as instructed (postage paid by Simply Sellular).
