I needed 3 ceiling fans hung in existing places and all plugs, outlets and lights to work properly so I called and Gil's Electric to come to my new home. I took Saul around and showed him the light and switches that do not work. I had to go back to work and asked him to call me if he had any issues or questions. I was so annoyed that I made an account just to post this. Hired this company to install lights at my parent's house. In my estimation it's all about the money and speed with these guys. They will offer you every upgrade in the book during install, misquote you a final price but still charge you for it on the invoice, and will make you pay for mistakes they made during install when you call them out to fix them. I usually don't leave reviews but I've just had so many bad experiences with electricians in the past. My brother recommended Gil's Electric to me and I gave them a shot. I was looking to upgrade my kitchen lighting to recessed LED lights. Gil's guy's came on time and did the job properly and professionally. I called gils electrical to come and fix some wiring that the previous electrician did not know how to connect properly. They were fast and skilled, minimum service charge was not so bad either. Hi, I have been calling Gil for small repairs and upgrades for about 3 years now. The service is always phenomenal, even though electrical work is not cheap, Gil seems to keep his prices very fair... These guys did a complete same-day rewire for me and beat all the estimate prices that I had got from other electricians. I liked that they were so organized and respectable of my home (they had to move around alot of delicate music/studio equipment). I called Gil's after I received their coupon in the mail. They offer recessed lights for a very low price. I wondered if there was a catch. The guys installed 24 lights. The job was fast, clean and very professional. To my surprise there were no hidden charges. Called these guys because they were recommended by a friend. At first I was a little worried based on others review but they looked like they know what they are doing so I decided to give it a chance, and I was right. My worries were quickly gone. These guys installed 16 recessed lights and change my main panel. They were clean professional and finished the all job in one day. There price was very reasonable. Do not use this company. You will be ripped off. You will get an estimate over the phone and they will charge you four times as much!. They will also look for work and will recommend something you do not need. They did some work for recently,and charged me $1,200 more than the original estimate. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE CHEATS. I hired them to install recessed lights for their advertised price, 65.00, which is reasonable. But the electrician suggested I should change all circuit breakers and install a surge protector in the panel. I trusted the guy and gave him the job for which he charged around 800.00 for that job. As a very discerning consumer, I can readily say that I was very pleased with the work done by Gil's Electrical Service. The electrician, Assaf Bloch, was professional and went the extra yard to complete the job. The price quoted was more than fair. Although I appreciated the electricians suggestion about upgrading old wires, it did cause some anxiety. I used Gil’s Electric Services in October, 2009. I was pleased with the outcome of my recessed lighting installation. However, in Feb 2010 I called the office requesting that someone come and recheck the wiring of their work because when I would hit one light switch it would cause another light to turn on in another room. I must say that Gil’ Electrical Service did an outstanding job in my home. I called there office since I saw there add with a Winter special to upgrade your electrical panel. They ended up replacing all me wiring, switches, outlets, upgrading my service panel, and install new lighting. I hired Gils Electric to Install there special offer for recessed lights. I wanted a total of 6 lights in my kitchen, after the installation was done , I was very satisfied with the results and I decided to install them throughout the house …..I’m so Happy with the new look of the lighting, what a difference!!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, I use this company in Dec 2009 and they charge me $285.00 to reset a button. I forgot I had G.F.I. (Ground Fault Interrupter) installed this made the short in the wire. They were here for 10 min. Then they told me that I had old wires and said I needed a Surge Protection for my electrical box at $450.00 so like a fool I said yes. We chose Gil's to do work based on their ad and the fact that they have a valid license. The work was done June 2009. I now know that we need to do more research on companies that we hire.
