Not the first time we have had this company circumvent their own terms and sadly probably not the last. This time they are saying that the because the buyers IP address is not in the same location as the mailing address they will not honor the claim. So if someone sends a gift, uses freight forwarder, or for any other reason is not at the receiving address they will try to deny your claim. Do NOT use Shipsurance or shippingeasy.com to mail packages if you care about what you are shipping. I used shippingeasy to purchase postage to send my MSI laptop back to ExcaliberPC where I purchased it for some potential repair work. Shipsurance is the insurance offered by shippingeasy.com. UPS was the shipping company I foolishly chose to use and they damaged the laptop during shipment and admitted they damaged it. I have been using this “insurance” through Shopify for most of my packages in hopes of not actually needing to file a claim. Well that day came and I had higher expectations that my claim would go through seamlessly considering the package I had to open the claim for went missing for over a month and they were holiday items. On every package we would send, we would purchase insurance from them. This happened maybe for good year. Luckily that year we purchased insurance from them, we really never managed to filed a claim being that all packages were arriving safe. This is the worst package insurance you… This is the worst package insurance you can ever use. They are in no uncertain words scammers, thieves, shameless fraudsters. They require a lot of information that is very difficult to get in e-commerce. Also, they WILL DENY YOUR CLAIM IF YOUR COMPANY NAME IS ON THE BOX. Can you believe that? I couldn't believe it either. Do not use this company. They are not reputable. They declined a claim because the manufacturers name was on the box. The box is too big and packed by the manufacturer to prevent damage. So, it does not make sense to rebox it. The name of the brand on the box does not invite damage, so their reasoning not to cover it does not make sense. Our customer received a package that was damaged during shipping and the company denied our claim due to us using tape that had our name on it. This was in a plain brown box and conformed to all standards. We have used them on other shipments in the past and this was our first and now last claim. I can't even go into the problems I've had insuring ebay items with USPS internationally. I don't sell very items internationally, but the one item that went to Italy was damaged. Shipsurance is reliable and great customer service. I will always insure with them. The best! Read More »

First claim filed in years. Lot of paper work (isn't that the way with everything) but easy explantions. Received full refund within a decent time frame & much better than dealing with USPS or UPS. Cheaper Insurance vosts than USPS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS 5* SERVICE and hope it continue's to serve as well in years to come as today! Read More »

Our company has been with Shipsurance for several years and they are truly a 5 Star company, at all levels. They are a great value, claims processing is extremely efficient, and customer service is fantastic. If you are not using Shipsurance, you are with the wrong company. I started with this insurance company in January of 2011 and had my first claim in April. Every transaction to date has been easy, fast and painless.
