Entire experience with Flat Rate Moving was fantastic. The sales person, Pavel, was friendly & helpful in answering all of my questions. The movers were so great. The team, headed up by Esteban, patiently took over an hour to figure out how to fit our couch into our new place. This company is an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! They sent someone to our house to give us a price - he was very nice and gave us a price- promised no surprises, promised timely service, etc. I bought it. I was reading this couple reviews here and simply couldn't believe certain things written in some lines because I really can not see FlatRate guys acting as described. Why? Because if I could describe my move with FlatRate, putting it in one word, it would be - IMPECCABLE!!! Let me first start by stating that I had scheduled two moves to two different locations. After the ordeal I had to go through for the second move, I can say that I would not use nor recommend FlatRate Moving in the future. I have still not received a follow up phone call or email. The movers were fantastic…not only did they arrive early, but they were all so very pleasant and upbeat. They worked extremely hard, were extremely courteous and accommodating to my needs. I used Flat Rate Moving twice. The first move was my home on 12/15/07 and they did an excellent job. They packed and moved me from Wilshire District to Sherman Oaks. When the freight elevator at the move from location broke down they took the balance of my stuff down the stairs. Fortunately I was on the 2nd floor of a 20 level building. They exercised extreme attention to detail from wrapping up all our furniture, to packing up the miscellaneous items that we forgot to pack, to labeling everything for inventory that needed to go to storage. This was absolutely a first rate moving experience all the way. The team of movers (Elmer, Hugo, Alberto, & ?) arrived at 9am on the dot, wrapped, packed, and loaded in an hour and a half. I could not have been happier with my experience with FlatRate Moving. My move was difficult because of a lack of an elevator, however, the movers came in and got right to work. Very highly recommended. From the moment I got on the phone to the minute the guys left to put my stuff in storage, I knew what was going on. Everything happened exactly as it was scheduled. Hardest day of my life!...However, the Flat Rate TEAM of movers was very good. They did a terrific job packing, and moving my stuff - nothing broken!
