i took out a car title loan with 1800loanmart in june 0f 2012 for $2500. I paid on the loans for two years until the principal was paid off then i defaulted because of illness, the car was repo'ed and the account closed and charged off. I am not going to paint myself out to be 100% right, but unless you are financially stable, and never disagree with them your in trouble. 1800loanmart are crooks. They DID NOT expalin the interest rates. I paid the $3000.00 on a $5000.00 loan and when I looked on my statement to see what the payoff was it said $4700.00. WTF!!!! They are very helpful getting you money very quickly but what they don't tell you is that you will pay $5 per day in interest. As in $155 per month. On a $2700 loan I'm paying nearly $4000 6 months after the loan was given. I would STRONGLY discourage people from going this route as you will find yourself in more financial trouble than it's worth. Read More »

Don't deal with these (or for that matter any title loan company). We all get where we need assistance but you don't want to end up paying 2 or 3 times what the value of the car is. Usually the interest rate is out of this world and your payment is only covering a mere fraction (if any) of the principal. On Saturday 8/14/2010. I decided to call 18887007505 loan mart... and from day one I was given the run around this guy named antonio was helping me out , I left him know the kinda suv I had and the year make and model , he let me know the paper work I needed to fax to him. I opened a loan with this company in Nov 2010.. they are upfront with costs... yes if you are late they do call but I have been late but i kept my promises to pay and have had no issues.. they are not the politest but they are in the money business and when you are trying to collect from people who usually have bad credit or a cash flow problem you cant really be nice.. they have heard all the excuses in the world.. I got a loan for 2500. Its been more than a year with monthly payments of 300= to 3600 and I still have 14 more months to go...They rip you off big time. This has been the worst experience. Worst company ever. I borrowed 3600.00 and ended up paying 12,860.00 over a 3 year period. Also they will tell you you case is closed and then complete a repossesion on your vehicle. If you want to get a loan from this company you must have your head examined. They are loansharks and thieves. When I called, the person I spoke with was very nice, and thoroughly explained the loan, what paperwork was needed, and the high interest. I needed the money, and my credit at the time was horrible. If any one is reading this DO NOT do business with Loan Mart. I agree with another complaint by calling them "Loan Shark". There should be a law against this and their practice should be considered as preditory lending. I financed my auto to pay for tuition for college. The loan amount was $2600 two years ago. Biggest financial mistake I ever made. For a loan of 2,000.00 I have been paying on for 2 years, I have paid them over 5,000.00 and my balance is still over 2,000.00.
