About 6 months ago my mother got a letter from Heirfinders Research Associates. They claimed they had located "dormant" assets in her name, some oil royalties from Texas we had NEVER heard of. Now, my mom is no dope, but I was still concerned that if she called these guys she would get sweet-talked into handing out a social security number or bank account number or something.
