I currently have 3 with a 4th on the way and a sound bar with sub-woofer (VA26L, VF550XVT, SV422XVT, VM230XVT, VSB210WS). My 6 year old loves the VIA TV and has mastered the widgets. She can access Netflix, find a movie, add it to the queue, and watch it. The set up was amazingly simple and it connected to my cable box, blue-ray player, and sound bar with a few clicks of the remote! Exactly 4 months from the time I bought it it died.after dealing with their customer service department they replaced my tv with a refurbished set. I was told they would replace it with a new set NOT a used one. To top it off the replacement set they sent me still had the return paperwork from Costco included in the box. I will not ever buy or recommend VIZIO to anyone. Read More »

Bill K. posted a review

I purchased a Vizio 50" plasma from Sam's club in early '08 and paid about $1300.00 for this unit. by the end of May '10, and vertical, purple line appeared down the middle of the screen. I called Vizio's service line and was told that there was nothing Vizio could do for me. So, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Approx 2 weeks later, I was contacted by another employee of Vizio. She gave me 2 options: Repair the current tv and I would only have to pay $150 of labor cost. Costco doubles the warranty so I thought we'd be ok. There was a pixel line going across the top of the TV screen but we're kinda old and figured it was part of the TV until at a holiday dinner, someone said hey what's that. That shouldn't be there, you should call before you're out of warranty. We had noticed it getting worse but normally we are not ones to complain as long as it's working. Never buy any TV's from this Vizio company. My Wife and I bought a 42 inch LCD Vizio TV from Wal-Mart. Plugged it in and there was a heavy "burning" smell, which dissipated a bit after two days. But I knew that it smelled like one or more leaky capacitors (as I been working in different computer fields for over the past 15+ years). Well right after 14 days.. the picture goes out, and the sound remains. To be honest the picture was good, but after 2+ years we also had the "Pop of Death" just like many others - just Google it. No we did not have the extended warranty, but then again why should you want to buy any piece of electronics that will die under three years.
