I purchased earrings for my wife. She loved to wear them but the sixth time she went to wear them the pearl fell off the post. The company has offered to fix it for free but I am responsible for shipping it to them. Considering this is going to Los Angeles from Florida I just don't trust that I may get the pearls back. IMO the mounting of the pearls is shoddy at best. I will never buy from them again. Go with a trusted brand like Tiffany or buy locally. Read More »

I bought a bracelet last year and the clasp has never worked right. The string is also raggedy even though I have worn the bracelet maybe 5 times because it comes undone. They want me to pay for a restring AND perhaps a clasp (or it could be adjusted). The clasp looks nothing like the picture. I am not going to pay to ship back, then $75 for a restring, then who knows how much more for the clasp. I will not be buying anything from these folks again. Read More »

I bought 6 items from Pearls of Joy. 1 set of necklace + bracelet + earrings and 2 separate earrings. I asked to get the set in 3 different little boxes because were going to be gifted from different people of my family and they could not accomodate, even if their website attest the contrary. They suggested to sell me 2 extra boxes for $30 but the pearls package was already shipped by then, so was too late. I found their answer quite cheap anyway as I just spent almost $2000. I had a horrible experience with them. Ordered a gem grade necklace, earrings, and a bracelet. Overall pearls looked nice, although not very round as it was described. I had to reorder the bracelet 3 times because every time they send a wrong size. 5.5,7,7.5 but never 6.5 as I ordered. I bought my wife a pearl bracelet for Christmas. By May the bracelet band had broken. We emailed customer service and they wanted to charge us $25 to restring it. What a disappointment for a bracelet that is less than a year old. Read More »

Working with Kevin from Pearls of Joy is almost too difficult to describe in words. It's like having the cross between a personal pearl concierge and Indiana Jones. received my second order from Kevin and he's out done himself again. I am admittedly a high maintenace customer, but kevin stuck with me and send me photos of 3 strands to choose the one I liked the best.
