I had a MacPro to sell. I received an online quote for $197. I packaged it with bubble wrap and sent it off. Many days after they received it I was notified that it was "received damaged" and "not as represented" and they modified their quote to $86.75, 44% of the original quote. The customer service of this company is entirely awful. There really isn't one, considering there is no one to speak to on the phone; your only option is fill out a service request through their e-mail system, to which they only respond in generic form, and will never call you back, even when I requested it 3 times. If anyone is considering using Gainsaver, my best advice is to cross your fingers and hope that your order goes through without a hitch, and may heaven help you if it doesn't. On 10/17/2011 I order a 13" Macbook and purchased the extended three year warranty for an extra $150. I purchased a Thinkpad z60T laptop computer with the following items: Pentium M 2.1G processor, 4GB memory. Item was changed during processing without contacting me to reduce memory to 3GB. It is my belief that GainSaver is both fraudulent in the computers they sell, as well as their customer service. This company is a complete SCAM. Check out Stacy D.s review below. I am going through the exact same thing nearly verbatim. They sent me two non functioning computers then essentially stole my money by saying that I dropped it or the shipper did, that they threw it away and they have pictures on file. COMPLETE SCAM!!!!!! My laptop crashed after 5 months of use. Since I purchased a 3 year warranty through the company, I shipped it back to them to replace. Do not order from this company! They sent me a damaged product (not damaged in shipping as the UPS box was intact and not dented), refused to pay for return shipping and will only issue a store credit. He will attempt to sell you items then makes the claim that he can't due to merchant services rejecting the card even though it has gone through.
