I can't say enough about these guys. They were very reasonably prices so I was worried at first. But they showed up with the right sized truck which was very clean and well loaded with materials they would need. Their estimate was low which I expected. The crew was full of smiles and very professional and thorough. They worked very hard and I was very impressed. I would recommend them to anyone. Read More »

I had a terrible experience with Ben Hur which ended in being overcharged and damaged furniture. If you are considering this company, then visit my blog bhrscammers.blogspot (of course, add the dot com) where you can see photos of my damaged furniture and learn about my struggles over the past year trying to settle a claim. I called a couple of moving companies, but got the typical recording to leave your phone number and we will call you right back.....I don't think so! When I called Ben Hur the phone was answered by a real person...great voice Abe...;-) Abe and the movers made the difficult process of moving very easy. Very professional and incredibly efficient! I LOVE this company. I've moved five times in the past five years, and I will never use another moving company again. I no longer have to worry about "special deals" or a "new price" after my stuff is held hostage. I no longer have to worry my furniture will arrive with parts missing or seriously damaged. I was lucky to choose Ben-Hur, they were the only company who agreed to come to my place and do visual estimate. That's the only way to do it if you don't want to pay double. The guy came, we signed everything ahead of time - end of story. Surprisingly the move went flawless (I moved from LA to FLA) and nothing was damaged. Recommended. Read More »

To whom it may concern: I moved with Ben Hur moving twice. The first move was from Miami, FL to Los Angeles. The second was locally about a year later (last December). The 4 young men that packed our home were friendly and quick to go about their business of preparring, packing, wrapping, and loading all of our belongings. I recently got a quote from Ben Hur as well as a number of other moving companies. I was initially impressed by the courteous and professional service I received on the phone and by their estimator. Upon realizing that their quote was almost two thousand dollars cheaper than all the others however, I decided to do a bit more research on them. Hi there. I was refered to Ben Hur from a friend who also moved with them and we both had a very good experience. I moved early this month Sept. The movers arrived on time - this was a coast to coast move - they were fast and handled my items with care. I was in touch with the office and they informed me when I should expect my items to arrive. My girlfriend and I hired Ben Hur to perform a local move for us. The moved seemed to go smoothly until I noticed that two boxes of DVDS were missing. I called Ben Hur almost everyday to try to locate the missing boxes and each time I was given lame reasons as to why the boxes could not be found. Liars and Cheats!! The only 2 words I can think of to describe this company. Ben Hur moved me from La to Illinois. After charging me double the moving quote, their truck mysteriously caught on fire while en route to my new residence. This resulted in the total loss of all my personal belongings. I used Ben Hur Moving to move my items from LA to Alabama. I paid over $3,000 for my move. This price was to include full value replacement insurance. When my itmes finally arrived, the majority of my antique collectables were broken, scratched and ruined. These items were professionally packed by Ben Hur movers. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! From the very start they were a nightmare! They showed up with not enough packing materials so what should have been 1 day of packing turned into 2. The foreman on the job took a day & a half to pack the kitchen which should have taken NO MORE then 4 hrs. When I questioned this I was told that they get paid by the hour. I want everyone to know our experience with Ben Hur Moving & Storage. We have used them numerous times for local moves in the Los Angeles area and stored our items with them as well. My husband and I just moved to Chicago and Ben Hur did a FANTASTIC JOB as always!!! They wrapped all our furniture carefully and everything arrived in one piece. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE BEN HUR EVER!!! They were 3 weeks late delivering my stuff. Whenever I called the driver he had a different story and had 15 flat tires over the course of a 2 week period. When he did show up he reeked of alcohol and demanded an extra $300. When I refused to pay he started driving off.
