I had a landline for many years and was happy to see that switching to VOIP didn't mean giving up the quality of service I had, which worried me. We have a few numbers with Phone Power. Some regular and some virtual so that they are local for family with landlines who have to pay long distance. VOIP itself is pretty cool in that you can do things like that. It was easy enough to set up. Maybe someone not familiar with basic technology such as elderly people might need some assistance, but other than that it really wasn't hard. On 5/2/2012 my Power Phone VoIP phone would receive calls, but the voice was so distorted that you could not have a conversation. Using my cell phone I attempted to call the customer service number ALL DAY and NEVER managed to get through, either getting busy signals or a message that all circuits were busy. I am still not able to get their webpage to open as well. I have ordered a Verizon Home Connect phone so that I can get rid of the Phone Power VoIP... I would not recommend them to anyone... I shopped around quite a bit before choosing them and they are very well priced. It works great! If for some reason someone else didn't have the same experience I did, they do offer a full refund so its pretty risk free. I recommend them a lot. Read More »

Overall I have had a good experience with them. Number took a couple days longer to transfer than anticipated, but old service remained intact until day of transfer, which went smoothly with no downtime. Price is fair, cust service is polite, and I haven't had any complaints. Read More »

Phone Power has been a great company. After years with them we are still happy. They gave us a very fair renewal price, which doesn't happen with some of our other services. I purchased a Phone Power combo pack from Amazon around eight months ago and have been a happy camper since. I'm free of the price hikes and horrible customer service I left at Vonage. This is the way to go for cheaper home service thats still reliable. It was delivered quickly and tech support was great in helping me set it up. Overall it was fairly simple. Five stars. Had the service for a little over a year now and you really can’t beat it with anything else. Most recently I was impressed with how on top of things they were when my card was declined due to the one I had placed on file back when I ordered being deactivated due to unrelated fraudulent charges. Phone Power has the best tech support period. These guys know their stuff and will go above and beyond to help you. I have them in two locations. My home line has worked well for years so I put them at my business location too. I needed some help with the configuration and the tech patiently helped me through all of it and made sure I knew how to contact him if anything came up. I have been with the company 2+ yrs. The first 2 yrs went well except for needing to reboot their router every week or so. In the past week we have had major problems. Calls have not been getting through and on occasion they have gone to VM without ringing. Most of the time (10 in one hr) nothing came through. I canceled there service after a year they asked for there box back I sent it then I was contacted they said it was the wrong power cord I owed them 6-7 dollars or the correct cord I sent the correct cord back to them cost 5.50 for shipping next time they contacted me was a bill of 124.90 and was all ready sent to collections I called them they said they never receive the cord billed me for the whole thing instead of the 6-7 dollars they are ready quoted me so now I have to contact credit bur... I’ve never had any problems with Phone Power. They send you an email with your plan listed on it when you sign up so I don’t know how one of the previous posters could state they put her on a different one. You would have the proof in your inbox. I haven’t had to wait over a few minutes for tech support or billing as Terry S states he did, but granted it could have been a busy time. When I tried to contact Power phone TECHs I waited on line for 3 hours while being informed I would be connected with someone in ONE minute for over 2 hours. I got lucky once after only 45 minutes one day and a TECH answered the phone. I had been trying for 8 hours for two days in a row, yes 16 hours and could never make or receive a phone call. Have had Phone Power for over a year, excellent service, called CS once and found good help. calls are clear, go thru in nanoseconds, voice mail is sharp and accurate, over all we are very satisfied. Adapter is working fine. recently have noticed "device not registered" but only 2 or 3 times in two months. it registers instantly. I found them to be perfectly legitimate and helpful. I took the time to read the details of the plan I was signing up for and it listed all charges including taxes and fees right on the website. The sales rep was knowledgeable and gave me detailed answers to any of my questions. It didn't take long to get it set up and it has been working reliably since then. Let me start by saying I wish I could give -5 stars to this company. Their tech support is an absolute joke and they will blame anything and everything possible to not take responsibility for their equipment and service not working properly. Once you get to the glorious end of your one-year contract (in my case) they insist that, no, you have a two-year contract and you are therefore responsible for a $99 early termination fee. I was with Phone Power less than a month. My phone only worked for a day or two. When I called tech support, I either got very little help or no help. When they did not answer, I left a message on their web site. They did not respond. In my experience, this company provided absolutely no support. My experience has been positive. I believe in leaving feedback on a company whether it be good or bad. I like to spread the good word about a company if they have met or exceeded my expectations. I have had Phone Power for 6 months now and have been very happy. The quality is clear and reliable.
