Stay Clear. Do not trust this guy. I found him on Craigslist. I needed to file a claim and had a one week deadline. After speaking on the phone and sending him the paperwork I hired him. I called around to find someone who could help me with a DUI on my record. Attorneys wanted $ 1,500.00 to expunge this. I called Gary Whitehead who had been refered to me by a friend who went to him for a divorce. She had saved hundreds of dollars and time with her divoece. We hired Gary Whitehead, a Palm Springs paralegal, to mediate our divorce proceedings. At each stage we believe he acted unprofessionally and incompetently, and ultimately abandoned us to conduct the work on our own. As a result he caused us great grief and frustration, and our divorce to take 6 months longer than it should have. I needed a revocable living trust because of the real estate I owned and was afraid of probate. After calling three attorneys and meeting with one who quoted me $ 2,500.00, I called four paralegal services including Gary Whitehead. two of the paralegal services never returned my call and the one I spoke with told me he was too busy. I was referred to Mr. Whiteheads office for a divorce petition. I had been referred by 2 independent sources, so I thought this would be someone to check out. I had already consulted with 2 attorneys who wanted huge retainers. Mr. Whitehead was very gracious and sympathetic with our situation and encouraged us in separate meetings that my wife and I come to an agreement rather than argue as we had done.
