If I can prevent the demise of one person, this makes it worth it. Had I any idea whatsoever, I would never ever have heeded the sales pitch from the corporation. My whole stay was a living hell. I agreed on a set amount of time and they changed it at the last minute threatening a huge bill. All i can say is everyone was high and making out and sneaking out and basically a party for all the clients and if you needed medical attention they had no one qualified to help and you had to die to get to the hospital. They are false advertising on their website. They cannot possibly be in the top of any %... No one on the staff even has degrees just certification in different things. This place misrepresented itself when I found them onliine and spoke to their intake counselors. My friend who had been doing an internship there told me that I would be placed in a very nice house and that it was the best rehab facility with the highest success rate! Instead there was no room in a regular house (I had transferred from Aurora San Diego, where I did my detox - by the way, Aurora was a much better facility than this joke.) I admitted myself to their facility 7/16/2011 after talking to a staff member about their services and facility. I was told they are state certified and I would be able to collect disablity insurance while a resident. The main factor for me choosing their facility. Well, they shipped me to a facility in Anaheim. Now, I'm being told by EDD that the facility they shipped me off to is not state certified and my disablity is being disallowed. BAIT & SWITCH! A Better Tommorow's website leads you to believe your family member is being cared for in a safe, comfortable, healthy environment by professional, caring, qualified staff. Our family was completely mislead by ABTTC. We were told our loved one would be going to Temecula Facility and would be treated by a team of professionals including a Dr. This is not what happened. He was put in a facility called The Lighthouse, which was more like a halfway house insteat of a treatment center. I wish they had anything less than 1 star to rate this scam of a company. Their promise of 'A Better Tomorrow' couldn't be more false. They not only made me miss a due date to sign up for my dui class (which they 'promised' they would take care of), they also won't return phone calls in order to get back my blackberry and money that I have on the books there.
