I was shopping around online for a custom DLC Rolex and came across a few sites that offered them. I bought a $13k diamond earrings for my wife. The entire experience was superb. The earrings needed some changes to the clip etc to fit her ear and Kim at Stein worked on them twice in a very prompt and courteous manner and free of charge of course. One star is too much!!!I ordered a $4000.00 Omega watch. Stein Diamonds took my money and order. I have no watch and it is six months later. This is a sample of what you hear: it's on back order, my retailer is on vacation, give me two more weeks, call back and I will talk to the owner, it is always some excuse. I purchased a limited edition Tag Heuer I thought was sold out everywhere. I found this website because I was determined to own this watch. I checked Yelp.com and found this was a legitimate business with a physical store in Los Angeles. With a lifetime warranty, insurance appraisal and prices below retail it was a bargain. Me and my fiancé did a ton of online research and found Stein Diamonds, they had the nicest rings and the best prices for diamonds. When we went to our local jewelry stores, they were always 5-7k more than Stein Diamonds. So we ended up pulling the trigger on a setting and a 1.70 round diamond. I bought a loose diamond from Stein Diamonds over the internet and felt cheated. In their loose diamond selection they show very attractive prices and in my case shipped a diamond that was different and less valuable than the diamond I thought I bought. My wife and I visited the Stein Diamond showroom in Los Angeles. My wife had lost her diamond out of her engagement ring about 2 months prior and I'm sure glad we waited until our vacation to get her a new stone. The people at Stein were fantastic. I would give ZERO stars if it were possible!! It took a week of ME calling Stein to find out the diamond I received an order confirmation for (and was charged for on my credit card) had already been sold. I wasn't too sure about buying such an expensive item sight unseen, but the 30 day guarantee and the BBB rating helped! Upon entering Stein's, I was initially impressed with their tasteful showroom perched on the 21st floor of a clean downtown building. The service was average. I'm definitely a nitpicker but these watches they offer are PERFECT. The company also has great customer service reps to speak with who are very savvy with regard to their products.
