I do not pay My Life and don't intend to but am concerned about the misinformation on it -- not my last name (since 1998) and have me living in a city since 2013 I have never visited nor lived in (haven't moved in 12 years). This company is a scam. As soon as you put your information in and pay your seven dollars, you have to pay all sorts of other fees to get information. Furthermore, in order to remove your contact information they require you to scan in your photo IDs such as drivers license… Who in their right mind would scan their information up into the web when they're trying to remove public information from the source? They would not show search results with out a member loin and password it said it was free, so I clicked to create an account put my info in then it took me to a page asking for my card info it and it would cost me 7.95 to see the information they said they had. I went ahead and punched card info and they did not yield the information they said they had on a relative that I am trying to contact. I signed up with My Life on a trial subscription. I canceled July 2011. They kept my credit card info and suddenly on Sept. 1 2012 they charged my card $71.40 for a year subscription that I did not authorize or request. I called and complained and told them I wanted it canceled immediately and credit my card. They would not agree to a full refund, only a partial credit. Fraud at it's highest. I was also scammed by mylife.com. Last year I signed up for what I thought was one month and was charged for a year. Today I clicked on a "Who's Looking for You" email and was charged $134.55 for another year membership. On my account I have automatic renewal DISABLED. When I called I was told I was charged because I had clicked on that email. He did finally lower it to a 3 month membership however I doubt that I will ever see a refund. Without my knowledge, MyLife signed me up last year for a $95.40 "annual membership". When the year expired, they began to bill my MasterCard $7.95 a month. I presume I must have thought I was being charged for a one-time search back then, when in fact I was unknowingly being charged for a year. My bank caught the charges and called me. I am also one of those people scammed by MyLife. I cancelled my account the same day I signed up, after I realized how useless their site really was. The advertisements promise that you can find people and that you can find who is searching for you, but you have to pay one fee for looking for someone, another fee to find the people that are supposedly looking for you (fat chance it will be anyone real), and on and on. I noticed a charge on my Visa of $131.40 from MyLife. I immediately called my Visa to question where this came from and they looked into it. I signed up for a $4.95 month. My card was charged $95.00. When I called customer service she would not offer a refund, and said I asked for a year (the $95.00 wasn't even the cost for a year so where did she even get that figure???) If you are going to take a Premium Membership at MyLife, be sure NOT to use a Debit Card. My bank wouldn't reverse this payment. They told me to call them and try to get a refund and after 30 day I could do a fraud report. The page to join and upgrade to Premium is very misleading. I have been a member of this site for a couple years. As their fees became more expensive, I waited for 'sales' to resign up. On May 12, 2009 I received an email from them with a special price of 2.50 a month for a year. That meant I would be charged 30.00 for the year at one time.
