I'm currently active duty military, I just got diagnosed with cancer I lived in a rental of theirs for 2 half years I got permanent change of station orders due to my recent health diagnose. Out of security deposit of 1900 I got returned 100 dollars, they said I need to give them a sixty day notice, sorry my cancer didn't give me a sixty day notice. The property management company 1st Rate Rentals has been managing our properties since 2008. This firm effectively advertised our properties to quickly find tenants. Also, it completed background and credit checks to ensure high quality tenants. It completed annual property inspections and provided detailed reports. Great service! Last year I was going through some financial issues and had some bills go into collection. I tried to rent a few homes from another management company but was turned down due to badcredit. 1st Rate Rentals even turned me down! But, about a week later I got a call from 1st Rate Rentals, they had a landlord that was willing to work with me if I put down a little extra deposit. So we ended up moving about of the home we rented from 1st rate after 2 years. We were being charged for items like a full paint costing 600.00, and a new garage door that was damaged when we moved in and it even stated on the move in sheet that it was broken and the house was never painted ect the list goes on and on! I had a horrible experience with 1st Rate Rentals. The office staff are incompetent and dishonest. Any time I had an issue, their attitude was pretty much "Oh well", and would never own up to their mistakes.
