I just went through providing information for a refi, followed up with the solicitation for a FREE credit report, getting through the multi-pages of questions, the final page solicited my credit card for a NON-POSTED amount, and this final page did NOT list a telephone number or webpage to refer to , so I opted out of the final page. I had been searching since the New Year for a high quality credit monitoring product and finally found GoFreeCredit.com. I signed up a couple months ago and found that the process was simple. Upon signing up, I received all three of my credit scores from Experian, Equifax and Transunion. This was great because most of the other companies I researched only offered one. This Company promised me a $1 seven day trial for a free on-line credit report for all three reporting venues. Before I could get my report, I got a message they were not able to find it. The window asked for other identifying information, which was provided. Then another window. I had requested a one time credit report for a $1.00 charge. This was on 1/10/11, a fewdays later I noticed I was charged $19.95 as a recuring charge. I sent an e-mail to them asking that this be removed and refunded. This was on orabout 1/18/11. Please do NOT sign up for your free credit scores with this company. They are not free because it is impossible to CANCEL during the first 7 days, so you will be billed $29.95 monthly. Neither the number they give nor their web site will allow you to cancel. If anyone knows how to cancel during the first 7 days, please let me know immediately.
