Chris Snowdon was a tremendous help to my family. The company went out of business a few weeks after our loan closed however. Chris was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I refinanced in 2009 and it was a nightmare. Lies, deceit, took forever, and all sorts of nasty surprises. Passed from person to person to person, no one knew what the last had done. It was crazy! I worked with Matt Springer through all the twists and turns that were needed to make the loan work. Matt was very conceintous to the changes required (mainly by me). Haruka Kitahara is by far the best loan officer I have ever worked with.I live in a remote location, at the other end of the state, and he was able to refinance my house all through email and phone calls. Did a refi in 2012. Simple, quick, efficient and it basically cost me an appraisal fee of a few hundred bucks to save thousands per year. I actually kept my payment steady and should now have the mortgage paid off 7 years quicker. I had a co-worker who was very resistant to refinancing due to the paperwork. But she ended up going from a 30 year to a 15 year with about the same payment. She says she literally watches that mortgage balance shrink every month. Awesome. Read More »

It appears we may have had the wrong loan agent, Matt Springer. He and the company have made numerous mistakes. On the eve before funding of the loan they request the tax returns to be signed. How many people at Journey Financial reviewed these including the auditors and underwriters and did not catch this. This is ridiculous for a company like this. I would not recommend Matt Springer. Being a retiree it is tough getting refi's based on the strict guidelines. The system makes no account for 50+ years of never missing a mortgage payment or very high credit ratings but eric cousino worked diligently to overcome these factors and getting me a refi that saved me over $240 per month.
