BankFREEDOM WILL withhold at LEAST $100 when you use the card at a gas station, as stated in their policy, and any amount under $100 will be withheld for UP TO 10 DAYS! I had just $100 to spend over the holidays, and sincerely asked them to release it back so that I can get gifts for my family. Ok so after a huge back and forth between Bank Freedom and Blooms Today (a online flower delivery service which I would not recommend to ANYONE after this experience) Bank Freedom was GREAT! As per the previous statements from customers, Bank Freedom would hold pre-authorizations for over 2 months. I brought a pre-order item from a retailer online, the retailer put and amount in the pre-authorization status with bank freedom, but never took the money out of my account because I cancelled by order within 3 days of placing the order. This company keeps pending transactions on the books and freezes your money even after getting faxes and telephone calls from the vendor, I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a credit card. Read More »

I got started with Bandfreedom in summer of 2008. I never had a problem with them until March of 2009. I had several fraudulant purchases to an online retailer from the UK. What the heck. They did reimburse my funds to me. But recently I made a purchase but then cancelled the transaction from QVC. "Brian" and "Augi" both said that QVC needed to fax over documentation on company letterhead saying that the order was cancelled and they would realease my money to me. I HAVE HAD THE CARD FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW. I GOT THE CARD FOR ONLINE USE ONLY. I DID A TRANSACTION ONLINE IN APRIL 2009 THAT WAS DOUBLED CHARGED FOR SOME REASON. I CONTACTED THE MERCHANT FOR STATUS AND THEY DID NOT RECEIVE PAYMENT FROM BANK FREEDOM. I THEN CONTACTED BANK FREDDOM AND SPOKE TO A "BRIAN", HE INDECATED THAT THE MERCHANT MUST FAX A LETTER TO THEM TO RELEASE MY FUNDS BEFORE HE CAN DO SO. I have been a customer of Bank Freedom since 10/2008. I was satisfied with them until recently. I applied for Mobile service and decided not to get it. A hold was put on my account for the service. The mobile company sent Bank Freedom a letter stating that the account was never opened and to release my funds. This was on 12/18/2008, as of 12/29/2008 I have yet to received my money. I signed up for a Bank Freedom card three months ago and couldn't be happier! The card does everything it promises and I also have my paycheck deposited directly to my card every 2 weeks so I no longer have to pay a check cashing fees. :) When I first signed up I had a few questions about how to load the card so I called their customer service line and got right through to someone right away who answered all of my questions and even helped me set up online bill pay!
