I had Gomez install a central ac unit this year. They did not fill out the permit correctly and the inspector would not sign off. I left messages for them and no response. I had to perform the necessary modifications as instructed by the inspector. 5 months later Gomez wanted the remaining balance for the install. My husband called Gomez Air and spoke with Jeff, who seemed interested helping us out. Jeff was aggressive, gave us a good deal and seemed to know his stuff. He arranged to have our central air/heat installed for the next business day and the team showed up on time, were clean & courteous and did the job quickly. 3 years after having a Noritz tankless water heater installed by Gomez, the unit periodically stopped working. Called Gomez but no one answering their phone (are they out of business?). Anyway, called Noritz and they suggested a Platinum installer. I called SoCal Tankless who came out and indicated several problems with the installation by Gomez, including incorrect venting and incorrect gas line installation. I had called this company to come out at my home for a/c ductwork replacemnt estimate. They advertise that its a free estimate so we thought it wouldn't hurt to get an estimate. The next thing we find out that the company's general manager rolls in to his brand new Mercedez and bring his bag. The guy didn't even bother to check the Attic area unless we asked him. This company's salesperson Jeff is a high-pressure sales person who does not take NO for an answer.... DON'T EVEN CALL THEM unless you want to harassed on a daily basis, called on Sundays, and made to feel stupid! Being a contractor family, we care more about the overall quality of equipment and installation than we do about the price. Contrary to some of the reviews below, I called Jeff at Gomez Heating about 10:00 AM this morning and had an execellent experience. I have done some checking and received estimates from three different companies and I thought the prices quoted were very high. I saw their ad in the Register for a full heating and a/c system replacement (American Standard - 3 ton) for $3,599. I am in complete agreement with the two complaints above. Their salesman, Jeff, came to my house and did give a very low offer. Against my better judgement, I signed an application for their interest-free line of credit, only because he absolutely promised me that he would not submit the paperwork until I had called him back to confirm that I wanted the project done. March 2011 - I needed a replacement A/C unit, outside compressor/condenser and inside coil unit. Jeff Gomez quoted me an excellent price, for high quality equipment (I obtained three quotes) and was at my house exactly at 7:00 am as promised in two days. The unit was installed quickly and the testing and cleanup went without a hitch. Great company to do business with and would recommend them to my friends. Read More »

Worst customer service imaginable! I saw an ad in the OC Register for this company (Gomez AC and Heating) and thought I'd call to inquire about replacing our a/c unit. I just got off the phone with Jeff who was extremely rude, pushy, and insulting. He was irritated that I was actually asking questions (e.g., how big of a unit do I need for the square footage of my home, what brand(s) do you install, do you do free in-home estimates). The individuals who answered the phone for this company are arrogant to say the least. The individuals I spoke to were in fact down right rude and have no clue that they depend on customers, not the other way around. Jeff is the first person I spoke to. Caution, high pressure sales methods. I called, wanting information to buy, and Jeff wanted me to commit to buying a "super good deal" package of unknown content, before he would come out, and bid.
