Company states that I have an outstanding balance. I ordered Wen in July 2012. I love it, but have been given the run-a-round about an outstanding Collections debt. I ordered Pro-active in 2010. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I ordered one shipment from them and they put me on an auto ship program that I hadn't requested. When I got my auto shipment I immediately returned it to sender. A few weeks later a received a bill for that shipment and when I called them they said it probably hadn't been processed yet and to disregard the bill. I wish I had read these reviews first! I thought I was buying a 30 day trial and yup like just about every review on here I ended up being enrolled in a 90 day automatic shipping thing. Tom, I have been having the same problem with these people. I cancel my account with a on line chat representative, that refuse to take no for a answer. Eventually she said she cancel the account. Then I was informed that they had already conveniently shipped another order to me. I refused the order with the US postal service and have proof of that. I agree with other posters that the company's policies are very misleading. When I ordered and was told that the product could be tried "risk free", nowhere did I read that I would be enrolled in any ongoing billing. I have disputed the claim with my credit card company, and will be filing a complaint with my local BBB. Why should I have to spend money and time to return something I did not authorize? I notice most comments are the same...received shipments customer did not order, problems with refunds, ignored requests to cancel. My complaints are exactly the same, add the fact that Proactiv is sending me invoices threatening collection over an amount I can prove I do not owe. I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up for their service on their website. I had the same issue with unauthorized shipments-- not automatic shipments, unauthorized!! Their system must be built to ignore the frequency you select and adjust it so they send you the larger-sized expensive kits once a month! I don't see how their BBB rating is an A+ when the reviews I find both on TrustLink and other sites are so terrible. I purchased the $19.95 introductory package via Proactiv's website. I like the product-- it clears my skin, leaves it feeling soft and clean. I follow the three steps and use the moisturizer and oil-control stuff. Awesome. Unbelievably bad company. Somehow they set me up with TWO accounts with automatic shipment, which I requested not to have. After getting a bad skin reaction I called to cancel. Since then, I have been charged $135.68 for orders I didn't order or receive, and they refuse to fully refund me. This company has HORRIBLE customer service. I got my trail kit in the mail and loved the product. So I decided to use other products and built a kit with things I wanted to try. proactiv is one of the most unethical companies i have ever dealt with. i received a shipment that was unauthorized (22 days after i signed up!) and when i called customer service to resolve this, i was met with rudeness and comments such as 'you did something wrong' or 'you made a mistake.' i have since canceled my account with them, no product can work well enough to deal with their inefficiency. i don't understand how they have a 5 star rating, they are crooks. no stars here! Proactiv is the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. My experience mimics every post on here. I was erroneously and unknowingly signed up for automatic shipments just by ordering the trial kit. I ordered Proactive on December 24, 2010. I ordered a one-time only product. I was charged & the product was sent to me. They've been terrible. I ordered and paid for their product once. After that, they sent a package marked "free gift". Once I looked at it and saw (duh) that it wasn't free I returned it. Despite that, they billed my credit card, so I had to pursue a credit with Visa. Visa issued the credit and then Proactiv (again!!) sent an unordered package. I again returned it. I signed on with the company at the same time as my roommate, except my order came with tiny containers while hers were much larger (I had been a member previously and quit because of their pushy customer service). While the commercials are very good and convincing, the product is not worth it and the ordering system is extremely misleading. While they tell you in the advertisement its a special price for the 30 day supply, they neglect to mention you also sign up for a 90 supply and will be charged automatically. Unbelievably dis dissapointed with this company. Placed my first order on-line in June 2010. Payed through Paypal. I paid for ONE shipment. Unfortunately, in subsequent months (July, August & Sept.) DO NOT USE PAYPAL TO PAY THIS INEPT COMPANY!!!
