Stay far away from this company and Brinks. A Brinks salesman sold me a security system that the installation was never done on. After contacting them and their technician, I called Brinks to cancel the service. I was told it was a Skyline Security job and was transferred to them. I have been a customer of Skyline Security/ Brinks Home Security since February 11, 2020. As of this writing, there have been at least 15 false alarms. Three different technicians have come to replace sensors in different areas of my house, yet we continued to experience false alarms. The carnival "Door to Door" salesmen prey on trusting people who believe that they are selling a viable product! I, unfortunately, am one of the people who was duped by their carny presentation which was full of lies and deception. DO NOT SIGN with SKYLINE SECURITY !!! I have received VERY POOR service: false alarms even though I am exiting correctly, fees from the city, plus the false alarm event remains on my record and police are then not obligated to come after another false alarm. Skyline is legally protected because no law has been broken. You will have little recourse except to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am a security professional and we've witnessed companies like these just about every other year. Where is their main office? Is it local? Where will they be next month when you need help, California? They knocked on your door, where's their company vehicle? Salesmen came to the door and attempted to sell the systems using scare tactics. He asked us if we received a police flyer in the mail notifying us of the seven break ins in our neighborhood and said that because of these they were giving away their systems for free. I have had my GE alarm system from Skyline for almost a year. Last week, we were away on vacation and someone tried to break in. I received a phone call from the monitoring company right away and the burglar must have fled upon hearing the alarm. Although I have to replace a broken window, the alarm system saved me from the headache and God knows what else may have happened if the intruder would have come in. My Grandmother had a representative come out 1 month ago. 1. Apparently he set off the alarm because the Sheriff Dept. came by. Rep told Sheriff he was teaching my Grandmother how to set alarm 2. I am a manager of a mobile home community in Southern California. A sales rep from this company approached one of my elderly residents (in a no soliciting area) and advised her of several home invasions in the community. I have received a new GE Alarm system put into my home to protect my family and I have thought of doing this for years but always thought it was too expensive. We had an issue with them today.. They came to my grandma's house and tried to use a scare tactic on her telling her they have been all kinds of break ins up the street... They told her that they were taking over ADT, We contacted ADT and they had no idea what we were talking about.. From reading other reviews this is not the first time they used the ADT tactic.. I am a customer of Skyline Security and I actually came upon it by being approached at my door.They supplied me with a two-way voice system. Which has been working without a problem so far. I am pretty happy with the my service since i have not had any problems nor any false alarms, beause nobody wants to pay the police $100+ bucks for false alarms, and when some neighborhood kids stole my yard sign, I called them up and they came and gave me new one for free.
