Several days before Mother's Day, I ordered flowers on the website Hautelook (through a deal they had arranged with Teleflora) for my mother. The offer stated that the flowers would be delivered the day before Mother's Day. I prepaid for the order and naturally assumed that it would "happen". Hautelook did not fulfill their transactions on the agreed date. Customer service claimed it was not their fault, even though I called them to confirm my deliver instructions on 2/4. It was clearly Hautelook's mistake. I understand people/companies make mistakes, but they need to fix it- not ignore it. They told me to contact another company, their supplier, expect I did not purchase from their supplier, I purchased from Hautelook. As a Hautelook customer, I should not have to deal with... I was really excited to use HauteLook. I ordered three items, two were good quality, but the boots I ordered were extremely low quality (plastic soles, very chemical smell to them, poor quality, could see glue on outside of boots, entirely fake materials). I returned them, and had a $10 restock fee. I used my credit ($35) to get a necklace, which arrived broken. I have had great experiences with hautelook and have ordered many times! Recently, I had not received an order from them, and the UPS tracking said it was delivered. When UPS did not contact me as was said they would, I contacted hautelook again, and they immediately refunded my money to my paypal account, which was great because it went through right away. HauteLook is an absolutely wonderful members only shopping experience. Their line is a little more affordable than other vendors such as Gilt Groupe, and their styles are a geared a bit towards a younger crowd. This is perfect for me as a recent college graduate - I can find more upscale brands for sale, but can also find items within my price range.
