I haven't had any problems. are the preparers still there that you used? I am not sure who had your taxes messed up, but I have not had any problems and I have been using them for over 10 yrs now and that is with me living in and out of the state. This company took advantage of me being young, working and being a student. I had no idea what i was supposed to be looking for on the tax return. I gave him all my write off paper work that was legally able to be written and he went overboard. I trusted his judgement and now i am over my head in debt trying to repay it back. We to have been audited and owe the IRS due to the negligence of this company. When my husband took our paperwork back to them to check, they conveniently lost all of our receipts, everything. When we took our return to a reputable tax company, they couldn't believe the errors that were made. They suggested we sue this company and we are. These people should not have a business. I too am being audited and my son has also been audited for two years so far...Why are they not responsible for any negligence? You pay a tax preparer trusting what they do and WHAM! They are no where to be seen. They don't answer their phones and I drove over there. The "receptionist" was sitting there watching a talk show on TV. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! They are big time scammers. I am currently being audited by the IRS for the last 4 years. They claimed fraudulent deductions on my returns. I was not told and was not aware of their dishonesty. Now I must pay. Sadly, the taxpayer is responsible even if the fraud was unknown to the taxpayer. dont do it!!!!!!do not use them, i was refered by them and used them for 07,08,09 i have just been audited and now 13,000 for 07 2500$ for 08 and 1500$09 , looked over by taxes and learned they lied on my itemized deductions. i trusted them to do there job, payed them well and then i get smacked by the irs. they wont return my calls, everytime i go there to speak to my preparer, he is out of the office. i now have learned that 4 of the 5 friends i refered to them are also being audited. th... Use these people at your own peril! Everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) I know who has used BJ's is currently being audited by the IRS. My husband recommended this company to all of our friends, relatives and acquaintances and they are all upset over being audited. Yes this company will get you a huge refund but it is because they are irresponsible tax preparers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Unless you want to owe the IRS... I used this company for several years to process my income taxes and I was audited for three years in a row and owed $15,000.00 to the IRS. The person who was processing my taxes lied about me having 30,000.00 in deductions that I did not have and when the IRS wanted proof I could not provide it. Great company. They are hard to get ahold of at times and rarely call you back so you have to constantly be on the phone calling them but they get the job done quickly and get the most out of your tax return...that's all that I am concerned with.
