PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THESE COWBOYS - i have had nearly TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of my belongings stolen by these people. They have offered me $140 compensation. I'm having to seek legal advice. I've learned that a lot of others have had to go through this terrible ordeal, i can only assume that any positive reviews are written by the thieves themselves. We had our parents home moved by Remington yesterday. The truck showed up right on schedule. They took our instruction, and asked questions throughout the day as needed. There were three gentlemen that moved us. They were all very professional and polite. These men worked very hard, they never slowed down, which was great as we were paying by the hour. Frank and his team at Remington were awesome! They were early to arrive, and extremely courteous. The whole team treated our possessions as if though they were their own. Everything arrived at the destination in perfect condition. My only regret is that I spent the money on insurance :). Boaz did a great job providing an extremely fair rate. Remington was by far the best moving company I've worked with. I had questions after hours and even had to reschedule, it was no problem for them. I got a good estimate before and a very very fair total after. The movers were efficient and careful. It's really hit and miss with any company. It's the movers you get, not the company you go with. As far as moving companies go, there are alot out there that make tons of empty promises. Cause when the guys show up, they don't care about the promises the sales guy made and next thing you know, your $700 move costs $1K. I was extremely satisfied with the movers who came yesterday. Chose Remington through a referral as I know from past experience that moving can be disastrous. I requested that the same team of movers my friend used be assigned to my move. We requested that Lawrence's team (same team my friend used) and they accommodated. They were great. READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY FROM START TO FINISH BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER USING REMINGTON MOVING & STORAGE out of Gardena, CA - I used Remington Moving & Storage to do a long distance move from San Diego to Dallas last month. Amazing work! I was so stressed out (doing a million things at once, the move being only one) that I hadn't even finished packing when they arrived. They were so kind, they even helped me box up the remaining items that I had! They were very careful with my belongings even though they were going up and down stairs. Nothing dropped! Great, great work! I was shipping a lot of antiques cross-country and was really worried about how things would be loaded into the truck. The guys were really nice about it and accommodated my [possibly insane] requests to a T. But everything arrived in perfect condition, so maybe they weren't such unreasonable requests? Excellent movers, great quality service. I used them last month to help me get settled into my new house and they were phenomenal to work with. The woman I spoke to on the phone was nice, the movers who came out to do the labor were nice, even the owner (who I briefly met when I paid) was nice! Remington Movers was awesome to me. They showed up on time - five minutes early, in fact - and helped me get everything moved into the truck. Even when I was a little frazzled they were cool with it and just kept me moving forward. Transferred all of my belongings safely to my new house and I'm officially moved in! CROOKS- BEWARE THIS COMPANY I would like to give them no stars. Worst moving company I ever used. Sloppy, rude, lazy workers who did not take any care with my things. RUN THE OTHER WAY. Do not NOT hire Remington Movers. They are unprofessional, rude and slow. Please learn from my experience: • Day before move Sam called to see if my move could be later in the evening or the following day (instead of the original 8-10 am pickup). I said no and he said they'd make it work as originally discussed. • 8:10 am day of move I get a call from Sam saying that the driver called in sick. • 11 am a new driver and ONE mover show up. Worse moving company I have ever used. They are crooks and falsified and forged my signature and paperwork. I realized later when I got my credit card statement they overcharged me hundreds of dollars. This after showing up 4 hours late and sat around talking half the time and not working while they are charing me hourly. Remington Movers were tremendous in helping me and my family move. The estimator was courteous and right on time. His estimate was spot on, timing and resource-wise. The movers went out of their way to keep my family and me happy. They treated our belongings as if it were theirs. They were right on time and were extremely thoughtful about our needs. I found Remington on Craigslist while trying to find a way to move a purchase of furniture I made on EBay. The other quotes were outrageous and Issac responded to my inquiry within minutes. We made a deal and they sent me a confirmation via email. Roz followed up the next day and confirmed the reservation. I booked a move with Remington after seeing their unusually high rating on the BBB. I was not disapointed. Their rating was justified and my move which had many components to it went off without a hitch.
