This company tried to go into my bank account and with draw 268 dollars and also tried to get it on recurring paymant. BEWARE! BEWARE! I signed up with Local Splash in January for two months, to see if their ad would work for me. I was told that I would be committed for only two months and they would take out two monthly payments from my credit card account. I did not do business with this company. I just got off the phone with them. They were very pushy on trying to get my creditcard info, so i was sceptical. I asked to wait in order to investiga ther company. They became even more agggressive at trying to get my Credit Card info and grew more sceptical. I got a phone call from Kendell, Great guy, I have no complaints from him. He has seemed to be knowledgable, and does follow-ups well. I am also running it past my manager. If my associates do not want to do it a group, I was seriously thinking of trying your compnay out solo. But now, I am unsure with all of the complaints. To be fair, I will let everyone here know my full experience, there are pluses and minuses. The Minus: I was first contacted by a local splash employee who promised me the world. He charged me $200 to start and told me that everything would be setup within a few days. Myron, from Local Splash called my office yesterday and wanted to sell me his product, ie: first page guarantee on Google, Yahoo etc. I explained to him that I would need to present all of the information he had given me to my boss and he would make the final decision. I was contacting by a telemarketing phone number 9492534165 even though my phone is listed in the do not call list. The agent told me that he works for localsplash.com for search engine marketing. I got totally ripped off by this company. They promised me first page advertising on google and so on. They lied to me, charged my credit card after i cancelled with them numerous times. If anyone is interested in a class action lawsuit against this company, contact me. They are beyond despicable. They actually printed out my company's Google profile that I created myself years ago for my company and claimed that they created it in an effort to place me higher in Google searches. For this they justified charging my credit card and though I cancelled service with them several times, they continued to charge my credit card. We signed up with Local Splash/Relevant Ads for search engine optimization in the beginning of March 2010. On March 12, I called to cancel our "services" since they were not doing ANYTHING. We were already on the first pages of Yahoo, MSN and Google when we signed up. They had placed our company in the Google Maps, which by the way is a free service and anyone can do it. This company is an absolute ripoff. Customer service is HORRIBLE and their product does not work. They lie about how much they are going to charge you, then continue to charge you large amounts of money. Seems like a SCAM people!!!! I talked with 4 different employees about getting a guarantee stating I could get a refund if their services were not carried out as promised..... then I was put back on the phone with one of those same four employees stating No I coundnt get a guarantee( after an hour or more of time wasted). Relevant Ads, aka Local Splash, has called me 3 or 4 times a week for 3 weeks. I have told them numerous times that I do not have a web site. I keep telling them I am not interested and to please stop calling, but they keep calling. BBB Better be paying attention! This IS A SCAM! I even filed a complaint after I was ripped off by Ilocal/splash/relevant ads and they still have a B+ rating. Relevant Ads has been great for me and I very happy with their customer service. I speak w/ Kerry W. alot and he knows his stuff, I'm actually #1 on Google and #2 on Yahoo for tree services in the Minneapolis area. When other tree services were down and out in late fall I had 3 weeks of work lines up. I have had tons of new clients. I received a solicitation call from Local Splash today. After the first telemarketer asked me a lot of questions, I was transferred to another telemarketer named Sam. A sales rep from Relevant Ads promised to "get people knocking down my door" by raising my company profile in Google searches and was very convincing. He actually said there was a 90 day guarantee for their services and that I could get my entire purchase price back if I was not satisfied. We received a call earlier this year from a Relevant Ads sales person. They told us they were a Google authorized reseller and that they could get us better internet search engine results. The sales person was very convincing, and guaranteed us top placement in Adwords, google maps and organic searches for searches within a 50 miles radius and that it would take about a month.
