I bought a Superstyler at The Grove and it was working very well. Roughly 8 months later I dropped it and one of the plates broke. I went back to the Grove with my receipt and they informed me that if i contact HerStyler's customer service I could get a new one. All those carts are privately owned, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called and they were extremely helpful. Here is the letter I wrote to the company's customer service department on Saturday: I was at Ontario Mills Mall (Ontario, CA) today (6/25/11) at approximately 12:15pm, when one of your salespeople at a kiosk aggressively approached me regarding your product. I bought a full curling + mini + flat iron kit from the Arcadia Mall, which I gladly paid for in addition to shampoo, conditioner, serum, and hair mask. I bought the"forever her styler" straightener at a "straight 4 U" kiosk in Naples, FL mall in April of 2010. We paid $100 for it, and was told it was warrantied for the life of the product, which is even stamped on my reciept. The straightner is a great product...no complaints, but today there became a "short" in the wiring of it. I bought the tattoo straightener for my girlfriend for her birthday and she has been raving about it! She has gone through 3-4 different hair straighteners, all from different companies, that either fry her hair or break after a few months of use. Not this one though. In Nov. of last year I purchased a curling iron from HerStyler from a kiosk at a local Mall. It burned my hand when I used it. When I purchased this product, I asked, if I don't like this, can I return it, I was told "YES." When I attempted to return the product the next day, I found out that they only exchange. I have been buying HerStyler products for years now and have 0 complaints! I bought a Forever straightener for my self awhile back and LOOOVVVEEE it! My hair is always shiny without any product, and it's the only straightener that does not kill my hair. I've bought several friends and family straighteners, curling irons, or even their extensions and everyone really enjoyed their gift. I own a business in Canada where I buy large quantities of HerStyler product in US and sell it in Canada via carts/kiosks in the malls. As a cart owner and someone who has close ties with other companies selling this product in Canada, I have a lot of knowledge to share with people who buy this product. I have filed a complaint with the BBB for what I consider to be very misleading and fraudulent warranty practices by this company. I purchased a HerStyler product for my daughter for Christmas via Amazon.com. It broke less than two months later. I tried this companies products, almost a hundred dollars worth... They did not seem to do anything different than vo5 or any other product. They have a horrible sent and I would not suggest anyone waist there money on them.
