Experian, Trans Union, Equifax and Persolve Legal have been a nightmare. I am a victim of family violence. I was been raped everyday, beat up, starved and forced into situations that were meant to destory me. I also suffered bad credit from the 08 recession and I paid for it with SEVEN YEARS OF BAD CREDIT so why does a company get to come along and purchase that outdated debt and force me to pay it? During the 2006 recession I got a chronic disease and had no job for several years. My prescriptions were out of pocket at $1000.00 per...Everything I read online back then said to just let the credit card debt go and it will drop off your credit report in seven years. I did that and I suffered with low-paying jobs and bad living situations. The neighborhood I lived in once out of a family member's house was horrible. I received a levy on my bank account all of a sudden and i had NO idea where this was coming from! I looked into it and found that while i was living in LA, someone took a credit card out in my name and never paid. This debt is supposedly from 2010! I received this Levy in 2018, and i had NEVER even heard of this case! Identify theft is rampant in LA, so it wasn't surprising.... I did have a Credit Card debt, that i just didn't pay. My bad. It was close to that "writing the debt off" when they found me , and started to garnish me for 8800.00+ , for over 2 years I paid this garnishment through my paycheck, I paid over 10,000 total by the time it was over. I received paperwork stating that my debt to them was "paid in full" back in 8/12, I look up my clerk & county records for anything against me, and found they still haven't released this... Persolve LLC with their shady attorney, Edit Alexandria, is responsible for filing numerous collection lawsuits with the intention of intimidating people to settle before trial. Most people run away from a "Summons" afraid that they can't win, don't have the money to hire a lawyer and just ignore it. BIG MISTAKE!! That's what Persolve WANTS! They are suing me for a FRAUD case that happened to me in 2007! They waited until the last day of the statute of limitations ran out to file. By then I no longer even had the paper work necessary to fight it. I asked them repeatedly for the discovery, but they wont send it. All they send is one page with the old account number on it. These people are just horrible. They try everyway imaginable to get you to pay an old debt without sending a validation of the debt. They will act sweet, they will threaten to sue, and when they find out you have no money they will get really nasty. Do not agree to pay anything, especially since they refuse to send a validation notice. Do not be intimidated by threats of legal action. This company was suing my mother, who makes minimum wage, for unpaid bill. She invested in a property by suppling the materials with her Lowe's account but with the housing marketing falling out from under all of us, she did not make the investment to pay back the Lowe's accounts.
