I have been a Lunarpages customer for about 5 years. This week a hacker/spoofer got my information and bought 2 domain names behalf of my name. I don't know how he got my information, but I called the support and they sent the account to default setting and created a new password. I changed all the security information on the account. Lunarpages dedicated has provided excellent service and reliable servers for my business. I believe those who order Shared servers expect a little too much for the extremely small price they pay. On 1/26/11, Lunarpages Hosting charged me to renew a domain name. I had purchased a domain name and hosting plan with Lunarpages in 2009. Before it came time to renew in 2010, I received notice that it was going to renew. I called Lunarpages (and glad to be able to talk to someone) and canceled it all. In 2007 I registered a domain with LunarPages as part of their "Free Domain for Life" offer. LunarPages has renewed this domain for me every year since then at no charge pursuant to the offer. This domain was set to expire again in October of 2010, but this time LunarPages failed to abide by their contractual obligation and did not renew my domain. Mr. Keil, The credit did indeed post to my account on 9/29/10. Thank you for your attention to this matter and your quick response and resolution. I have seen alot of changes with lunarpages over the 10 year span with them,I dont think its for the best, One thing is hours change for shared Websites is 7:00 to 7:00 and none of the techs can even do alot after that time due to no access to other site plans then dedicated servers. Lunar Pages is the worst hosting company we have ever been with. In the last 2 years we have had nothing but problems with their services. Issues come up over and over again and their hosting service is very unstable. Their customer service is also very in-adequate and they dont take responsibility for any of the issues resulting from their bad service. I have been with Lunarpages for a few years. They suck. I have had my account suspended 3 times as they tried to extort more money out of me. I run a small site that does not get much traffic. They claim I am using too many resources and they need to move to a dedicated server. They try this every year. This company is a total scam. Why I keep renewing with them is the real mystery. This company put a fradulent charge on my credit card for $127.35. I had never heard of them before and never authorized the charge. I had to call my bank and cancel my card because they stole the number. When I called them and asked them to refund the money they said that $19.95 of it was nonrefunable. Do not give this fly-by-night company your credit card info. Cannot emphasize this enough. This company is engaged in bank fraud. Read the contract closely. They will renew their contract with you every year, even if you provide written notice a month in advance that you do not wish to renew the 12-month agreement and you tell them they are not authorized to charge your card. Their attitude is that some customers won't challenge them, so they make a "profit" after dealing with the charge offs... Read More »

I was only with them for a couple of months (1/08 to 2/08) but it was a horrible tech support experience. I'm spoiled with about 7 years of great support at Crystaltech.com but they are Windows only and I needed LAMP. I wish I saw these reviews before I signed up with LunarPages. The negative reviews about service reflect my experience also - nothing to add. I did find that their servers worked fine. I would give this company a negative 5 stars if that was possible. This company gave me the worst customer service experience in my entire life!!!! They curse at me, hung up on me repeatedly and threatened me all because I asked them to refund my money. Lunarpages hosting has done right by me for a number of years. I had big issues with my previous web host and the staff and support crew at Lunarpages helped rescue me from them and has given me quality support ever since. A word of warning. This company is run by a group of young people who at times lack the professionalism and concern for their hosting clients' accounts. They have been known to go into their client accounts and delete or modify files without notice until the damage has been done, which costs the owners additional expense to correct the damage. Support has been efficient. I have only had to use the support a couple of times when my site was initially setup. Downtime occurred once or twice so far, but only for a short period of time (less than 20 minutes). One time was, however, during a peak time(Friday Night). Otherwise, my site loads quickly, and the forms and scripts are working as intended. I have 3 domains now registered with them and none are having trouble.
