I have read many reviews online. Most are from 2010 or earlier. Perhaps OS was a bad deal back then. I took the seminar in 2012 and found it very informative. Some of the critiques are still valid. There is way too much importance placed on the book and not enough training for classroom presentations. This may be due to only having a 3 weekend course. My experience with Oxford Seminars for their TEFL program has been a nightmare! After numerous phone calls inquiring about their seminar to be sure it would be the right match for my job prospects in Europe, I was told by a representative of the company that I should place a $95 deposit to hold my spot. I had/ am having a terrible experience with this company. They were not at all flexible or helpful. I talked to them many times on the phone and ended up hanging up almost in tears because I was so frustrated. Unless you can absolutely commit to three weekends with certainty that you won't get sick or have an emergency, this is not the company to go through.
